I will also be sharing stories as part of these sessions. CMV (community Music Vic) shares lots of wonderful city and regional events, so there is lots to choose from in their newsletter.

"Trad & Now"is providing a free 'live stream' of music everyday of all music submitted to them.
(I have 3 of my CD's in their shop - plus have recently submitted the MP3 of "Birds in My Tree;The Magic of Birds and the Joy of Singing", for inclusion in the 'live stream mix')
Here's what Cec Bucello - editor of Trad & Now says :Australia’s first free 24 hours a day, 7 days a week international streaming service for Australian folk music is now live and available for everyone to hear any time, any day.

This will be yet another way that you can promote your material using audio rather than written material.

Feeling both stoked and relieved! My recently published book is now available at the links below if you want to take a peek. It's been a labour of love and quite a journey - as anyone out there who has gone down this path will know! This is a children's book and it's called "Birds in My Tree: The Magic of Birds and the Joy of Singing." It's aimed at 4-7 yr olds an older and contains colour pics of wild birds mostly taken by myself during the Covid lock downs. Each verse is dedicated to a particular bird and its peculiarities and nature. There is music notation and chords that go with the lyrics at the back of the book. The song invokes actions and bird sounds. It actually has proper wild bird sounds on the You Tube video which is available and goes with the book. The book and the video give credit to those who so wonderfully helped me out along the way. Without their help it would not have been possible! So huge thanks to those kind people!

Spring is in the air! Daylesford Arts Collective have a pop up art show in No.94 Vincent Street,Daylesford over the past two weekends from 10 AM to 4 PM. It ends tomorrow Sun 4th Sept. Yep. It's finally back to in-person art shows again. Yay!! I'll be displaying some art work along with several other worthy artists. Unfortunate News:
The Newport Folk Festival on June 25th. to 27th has been canceled this year due to Covid restrictions. So unfortunately Sugar'n' Spice won't be able to showcase the new songs
Secondly: The 2 Art Shows in Beaufort - Pyrenees Art Show and ArtTrax Art Show have also been canceled this year over the Queens's Birthday Weekend. coming up soon 12th, 13th. and 14th. June.
New Dates for the art shows will be on the 24th., 25th and 26th Sept. 2021 - all going well.

Sugar 'n' Spice - we played some lovely Irish music for lovely folk in Sunbury today. It was lovely to hear them sing gustily even without a Guinness! Our last gig such as this one was 12 months ago. It's nice to unravel back from 'Covid lock-downs' back into 'face to face' gigs.

Sugar 'n' Spice will be playing music for (Pasta Against Poverty) Lunch at the Council Pavilion,Victoria Park on Tuesday 23rd July at 12 Noon.We are priveledged to be part of this event!

The event is hosted by Club 5000 who provide an amazing meal! PAP hosted by the amazing 5000 Club and supported by many local businesses. This event brings our great community together to support the vulnerable and poor in our shire and girls in developing countries.

Hello Folks, thank you for being friends for such a long time on the Acoustic Sessions page. We've had many good years of music running the Daylesford Folk Blues Fest and Open Mics from 2010 through to 2013. The time has come to close this page down in the near future.

Thank you for being part of the Festival and Open Mic journey.The music has continued but on a more personal level with Lunar Dust and Sugar 'n' Spice and Solo ventures.
