Are you online shopping for Christmas? 🎄
Did you know that packaging materials make great sensory play bases? 🙌

I've seen the insta pages where mums create beautiful sensory trays based on a weekly theme. And if you've got the time and brain space to set this up at home, that's awesome, but I know I don't right now! 😵‍💫
My toddler played with these foam peanuts for over half an hour, which I loved as a new mother of two 😅
Bonus, they're easy to clean up and pack away for another day ❤️

Have a look around your home and see what you have on hand that's safe for your bub to play with under adult supervision, grab some bits and pieces from your kitchen or toy box, and let them go wild! 💙

Why do we care about tummy time? 🧐

My physio colleagues are big advocates for tummy time, and it's something you hear about a lot as a new mum, but do you know why it's so important? Swipe to find out!

Did you know these activities also count as tummy time:
💚Lying chest to chest with you when you're in a chair or lying on the floor
💜 Lying tummy down over your legs when you're seated
❤ Being held tummy down in your arms
💙 Lying tummy down with a towel, blanket or pillow under the chest
💛 Lying tummy down over a gym ball
🖤 Lying on a soft wedge pillow

Remember, ALWAYS supervise your baby in tummy time, start with short periods of tummy time several times a day and follow your baby's cues to see when they've had enough

Our mini messy bubs discover sensory classes are ideal for babies learning about tummy time. Our classes are designed to be comfortable and inviting for baby, and we incorporate music, movement and sensory activities to keep your bub happy and engaged while on their tummies or in your lap
