Dear Trish

Thank you so much for all you have done for us and for Robert. I know you really put your heart into the farewell for Robert that we all created together. You truly have a gift for what you do and you went way beyond anything that I even dared to hope for.

I feel, fittingly, you were that warm presence of a mother that he missed so sorely in his life. Nobody could have filled that space yesterday better than you. He was, we were so lucky.

I especially appreciated how you presented each of the family tributes with warmth and love, bringing their words to joyful life in a truly heart-felt way.

I loved the personal touches you brought, it was clear to everyone yesterday that you had seen the true essence of this man and that clearly he had had an impact upon you as well.

Thank you too for your loving support to John and Celeste, as well as to me. It was tangible and true. You wrapped up all of us there yesterday in a bond of love and happy memories and it was a fitting way for Robert to spend his last moments with us.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Remembering Heather my friend who we lost this time last year 💔😢

A few weeks ago I heard the sad news of a Heather’s passing. She was just about to celebrate her 60th birthday instead we were saying farewell at her service. Although I hadn’t seen her for a few years I was devastated to hear that she was gone so soon. Heather and I worked together for several years. We were also friends. We had weekends away with groups of girls, celebrated at work functions, I attended her wedding I celebrated with her at her 40th birthday. Caroline and I spent time with her just before the birth of her first born. I ate her amazing spring rolls that she was famous for, memories I have treasured and always will.

Heather was an amazing girl, beautiful inside and out she was spiritual. She had the most amazing healing hands when it came to massage.  she was funny. She was smart, and I wished I kept in touch more often. However, lives change we get busy doing other things, but I was often reminded of her when I heard a song that reminded me of her or the little card she gave me one birthday with my name on it, and what my name meant. Heather was thoughtful and caring loved her kids, her dogs her friends. You’re greatly missed Heather . Rest in peace lovely. I was glad to be your friend.💔🌸

As I finish writing a service for tomorrow I am listening to the sweet song of a blackbird singing outside my study window. I never tire of hearing this sound and welcome it back in spring each year.💜😊

I had the privilege of leading the ceremony to celebrate a wonderful lady who had reached the grand age of 96 a positive, caring and thoughtful person. The family wanted to celebrate her long and happy life and for it to as joyous as the lady was that we were honouring. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than achieving a positive outcome for the family.

Hi Trish, having had time to reflect on our Mother’s service, I can only thank you again for the wonderful job you did in leading us in the celebration of mum‘s life. Not only did you take the time to get a real understanding of mum and her character, but your thoughts and suggestions added further dimension to the day. I’m not sure if you can say you had a fabulous day at your mother‘s funeral, but I had a fabulous day, I was still in a high when I went to bed! You do a fantastic job in your role and we are really grateful to have been introduced to you thanks and best wishes.

A difficult time of year to lose loved one and my heart goes to those that are grieving.

Often people ask me how I do what I do but its more about why. If I can assist families to give their loved ones the best farewell making it easier for them then that is why. I don’t expect to hear from them after the service but it is so heartwarming to receive their thoughts.

Fiona was very happy with the proceedings and thought that you were the perfect celebrant to plan and execute the day.
Again thanks so much.
My brother watched from Nicaragua- he sat in a large room with about 10 extended family members
They loved it - they had never seen just a wonderful service
I've had messages from all parts of the world congratulating us on a wonderful job.

A visit to Cowes where I am officiating a wedding on the weekend. What a beautiful spot to choose! The date is special as it is 10 years to the day since they met. I do hope the weather is as good on the day as it was yesterday if so it will perfect. K & W are such a lovely couple and so glad they chose me to share this special day with. ♥️🥂 looking forward to getting you two hitched!

On Saturday I had the pleasure of marrying a lovely couple at the Epicurean in Red Hill. This is “the loft” a lovely space where we held the ceremony. I had married the brides daughter several years earlier and was invited to stay for the amazing dinner that followed. The food was amazing! The staff attentive and a wonderful time was had by all. An intimate wedding with guests who had travelled from interstate, NZ and the brides sister from as far away as England. The beautiful flowers were created by her and I was blessed to have been presented with one of the table decorations at the end of the evening. Thank you to all that made the day extra special! 🥂♥️

Hi Trish. Thanks for such a wonderful job as our Celebrant to help us prepare for and celebrate Dad’s life. For me the day offered more joy than I expected in marking his life. Also Mum managed the day much better than I anticipated too. You bound all the elements together in one whole and for that I am very grateful. Cheers S

💛💙 A “Beauty & the Beast” themed wedding was the order of the day when Jay & Pete were married yesterday. The mood was relaxed as their close family and friends witnessed their joy! The ceremony ended with the beautiful theme from the movie. The rain held off and the bridal party stayed dry. I was overjoyed to be their celebrant congratulations lovebirds! 💙💛 🌹

 Dear Trish I want to thank you very sincerely for the beautiful service for my mother. I was so pleased with the thoughtful way you guided me through planning the service, and for your words during the service that reflected so well the life of the person we had I known for so many years. I’m comforted by knowing that my mother was very lovingly farewelled my family and friends and will now be reunited with her dear Husband thank you. K

Often we don’t know what to say to someone who is in the depths of grief. We think the right words will heal the hurting. Often there are no words just being there for them is enough the healing will come in time.

What a wonderful amazing fabulous wedding yesterday in Mornington! Kilts, piper, drummer and Scottish rituals oh and the weather was pretty good too! The cheers and clapping when they had their first kiss was deafening and great to hear. Congratulations guys so much fun and joy to be your celebrant 🥂😊❤️🌹

I married a gorgeous young couple on Saturday. After such a long time without weddings it was so nice to be in a space of happiness and joy once more. Congratulations! May your life’s be filled forever with the joy of your special day 🥂

Roses represented those that couldn’t be with us in person yesterday due to the recent restrictions. Sad to see a chapel empty that should have been filled with family and friends. Grateful to still be able to have a service for his family. We still farewelled him with meaning and love ❤️

These two lovelies finally married yesterday after a few date changes. It was so lovely to see how emotional they became as they exchanged vows. They married in their garden surrounded by their families. We added a ring warming ceremony to include everyone there and all went beautifully. Congratulations Bruce & Robyn! May you have a wonderful life filled with magic moments ♥️
