I’m currently working with to help coordinate their inaugural ORANA YOUTH FORUM. It is happening on Wednesday 6th November at the and we are bringing 400+ high school kids from remote and rural NSW to Dubbo to showcase interesting speakers and careers of the future.

We are inviting organisations from the key industry sectors of and to join the Forum Expo and to provide a greater understanding for our young people about the opportunities available to them.

The musician coming to entertain us all at is the super talented Matt Boylan-Smith!!! 🙌👏👏👏

A story-teller of both heartfelt and rambunctious proportions, Matt left his home town of Bathurst a few years ago to travel and write. His songs incorporate old school story-telling, layered vocals and earnest delivery honed from travelling the world either collecting or singing his stories. 
 
He has provided the pre-match entertainment for the National Rugby League, gained national radio play on Triple J with his single We Can Be Together and the film clip for his unreleased track ‘Johnny‘ was recognised as the winner of the Madrid International film festival in the best shorts competition.
 
Matt’s release Somewhere in Soho received national radio play on ABC radio, the film clip for his track 16 Miles Wide gained rotation on CMC, and his collaborations have gained over four million streamson Spotify.

Alicia is a proud Wiradjuri woman, wife and mother based in Dubbo. She devoted 11 years to primary teaching before venturing into the world of photography, capturing families, bumps and babies. Alicia is better-known for showcasing the unique and raw beauty of Aboriginal Culture in communities across the state. Check out her Instagram and be blown away by her beautiful imagery.

I’m sure most of you will know our next panellist - Narromine local and all round super woman, Caroline Maxwell from .be 🦸‍♀️

Caroline, or Caz as she is affectionately known, is a private lactation and baby care consultant. She is a Midwife and Registered Nurse, with a Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health Nursing. Her studies, combined with professional and personal experiences, have led her to provide an individually tailored approach to working with women and their families, rather than a one size fits most model.
She is married to a wonderfully supportive tradie and has four beautiful children, who she says will forever be her greatest achievements 🥰

First up is the very fabulous (or as some of you may know her, Lydia Pedrana 😜)

Lydia is the founder of cult accessories brand, . Born and bred in Dubbo before relocating to Sydney in her twenties, she is a journalist by trade and worked for some of the country’s most recognised media outlets including Channel Nine’s Today Show and the Daily Telegraph.
 
Founding GIMME as a creative outlet alongside her cousin in 2019, the brand quickly grew from a side hustle to full time gig with Lydia solely taking the reins in early 2023 (while heavily pregnant with her second child ).
 
To date, GIMME has been worn and loved by some of Australia’s most renowned celebrities and style authorities including model Jesinta Franklin, Leigh Campbell, Amy Gerard, Abbie Chatfield, Matilda Murray, Samantha Harris, Holly Kingston, Montarna Pitt and Nadia Fairfax to name a few.
 
Lydia is passionate about championing female founders and hopes to share the lessons she’s learnt (good, bad and ugly) with others hoping to create something of their own.
