Our photo from a great little retreat/cottage, which as you can see is not far from Mt. Warning. You could have your elopement ceremony here on the farm, or by the creek that flows from this sacred mountain. And then stay in cosy luxury for a few nights. What could be more relaxing and heart-warming?

Mt Warning Estate is a beautiful 300-acre property at the foot of Mt Warning ( Wollumbin ) in the Tweed Valley of Northern New South Wales. It is a place of fantastic views, heritage buildings, and luxury accommodation. It is ideal for a romantic get-a-way.

Late last year we had a beautiful elopement that gradually turned into a micro-wedding as they sometimes do! The ceremony was held on the hill-top at Mavis's Kitchen and Cabin's @ Mt Warning and the reception was held in the garden next to the restaurant - perfect for a summer wedding! You may have heard that Mavis's is changing hands, we wish Peter and Charlie all the best for their next chapter down in Tassie. We have been to so many wonderful weddings and other events At Mavis's and are sure it will continue as an outstanding venue! Here are a few photos from Cass and Josh's wedding. One of the things that was important to them was that it was a dog-friendly event.

Just days before the Co-vid restrictions sent us all into lockdown, this lovely couple, Sarah and Geoff, made the journey from Canberra to be married under the trees at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat This site is so secluded and so immersed in nature, the only sounds were the creek and the birdsong. You could feel how much they had been longing and waiting for this moment and we all had tears in our eyes as they made their vows. Lucille created a beautiful ceremony for them which included the lighting of candles for all their children. Afterwards we went on a forest walk choosing the best locations for some very romantic photos.

I could’ve stacked her with a whole heap of luxury and gone all crazy with natives + rose’s but I wanted it to be set at realistic price point.
Here I am showcasing that modest is Amazing too !
I feel some of the inspiration floating around at the moment is simply unattainable for all. It’s Bringing in a New Generation of the unrealistic.
Brides unknowingly wanting a Champagne wedding on a Beer Budget. And that’s ok because you haven’t been educated on how these desired looks are achieved, what florals cost and the effort and hours we put in to make the magic happen, because the ugly happens more than often too & we have to be ninjas, capable to quickly problem solve on the spot - sometimes within minutes !!
Pinterest has got ya’ll confused. There is so much work, Days behind the scenes to even create these looks.
Sourcing stock, sometimes from more than 1 wholesaler , Ordering , Deliveries, Driving to Brisbane for Last minute flowers, Preparation, Site Access , The Elements, Waste removal , Buckets to Scrub , Floors to clean , Van to clean, Repeat 😂
Pick your Key Elements, if you are on a budget ditch the small details like 10 gazillion Buttonholes for everyone and Corsages.
Oh and tip please do your research & get yourself a Amazing Photographer 👈🏻👈🏻👈🏻 Because the photos are FOREVER!!!

This lovely couple came all the way from Victoria to get married at the beautiful Mt. Warning Rainforest Retreat. It was a warm day (but better than Victoria which was 40 + that day) and the creek was a lovely place to cool off afterwards.
