We are currently all so proud of our olympians, with Australia currently 3rd on the medal tally!

What doesn’t come with national pride is the fact we are ranked 8th in the world for domestic violence.
1 in 4 women in Australia have experience violence perpetrated by an intimate partner as opposed to 1 in 16 men.
For both genders these statistics (ABS 2023) are appalling.
Of all female domestic homicides, 74% were at the hands of a partner or spouse.

Australia we need to do better!

After the massive amount of interest/enquiries regarding discounted swan cake, I think it’s a great idea to offer some cakes that are a little different in choice of 4 flavours and 3 sizes at very reasonable prices!

6 inch serves 10, 7 inch serves 20, 8 inch serves 30. These will be a standard 3 layer cake.
Flavours- chocolate, vanilla, caramel or choc mud.

As a cake maker, it’s important to challenge ourselves to practice new techniques and trends. Some cakes are just tricky no matter how talented or experienced you are. This varies for every cake artist too! Some things I find easy others may find challenging and vice versa.

This is where fabulous customers are so imperative!
Allowing you to make them a discounted cake with creative control allows us to be better and grow our business with expanding skill sets.
Thanks to Dana for trusting me to have a go at a swan cake for her daughter’s birthday!
Being the first Guinea pig is a sacrifice I appreciate!
I’ve learned a lot from this and have another swan cake next week very different from this one which I’m excited to tackle!

7 inch vanilla with white choc feathers dusted in pearl white and gold, some faux flowers to pretty her up ☺️
For all the aesthetic faults this cake has, I do know it will still taste lovely!
As my 8yo assured me “ if I got that cake mummy I wouldn’t hate it or be too sad” 🤣🤣

Guests enjoyed a large mixed sandwich platter and a 7 inch square vanilla sheet cake with berries, chocolate buttercream, topped with vanilla buttercream, grated gold chocolate, red poppies and fresh rosemary!
