Such an honour today to have been the Celebrant at the celebration of life for such a beautiful, elegant lady who contacted me personally to plan for this moment. Stories, laughs, tears and so much loved filled the chapel as Merle's wishes were fulfilled.

Today we celebrated 87 years of life for a man who loved his golf. We shared stories, anecdotes and photos and now family and friends continue with their memories as they raise a toast to Bruce.

A beautiful celebration of life for a Centenarian who served his country well. The story of Jack's life.....the memories shared by grandchildren....the laughs.....the tears.....and the very heartwarming RSL tribute all honoured a wonderful 100 years of living. Thank you for your service Jack.

So the secret is now out, Grace and Harrison eloped! On the very last day of Winter, early Saturday morning at the picturesque CocknBull Boutique Hotel in Echuca, Grace and Harrison said "I Do" in a short, sweet ceremony with immediate family sharing in this intimate event. When Grace and Harrison chose me to be their Celebrant they said they were a chilled, relaxed couple who wanted the excitement of eloping. So the ceremony was planned and the day arrived. My roadie Phil Gallacher snapped some happy shots for me to share whilst the talented Tamara Cadd Photography - Echuca Photographer was on hand to capture not only the "kiss" but the treasured moments to be remembered. The setting for the ceremony was perfect, Campaspe River the backdrop and many laughs all around as Grace and Harrison became husband and wife. They then returned to their hometown of Deni, in preparation for an 'Engagement Party' with extended family and friends later that day with the surprise element of "Look what happened this morning!"
In an email I received from the couple the following day it read "Thank you Janine for everything you did for us. We had the best day and you made it so much fun. It was so perfect for us".

And that is why I love elopements!

As the sun brightened the Winter sky, a beautiful woman who gave so much to so many was laid to rest.
With the chapel and the extra viewing room overflowing with standing room only, it was a true indication of the many, many people "pillow" had impacted.

The morning may have been chilly but the hearts of Chris and Nawapon were happy and warm as they became husband and wife in an intimate and fun filled elopement ceremony with their combined children excitedly capturing photos and videos. Even my roadies' beloved Mustang had a role to play! With the ceremony over, photos taken and congratulations shared, it was then off into town for a celebratory lunch. Congratulations Chris and Nawapon and thank you for choosing my roadie and I to be part of your special moment.

I have so "felt the love" this past week with receiving these most unexpected but very thoughtful gifts.

When a newly married couple arrive at your front door 3 months after their wedding ceremony that I had the pleasure of officiating at and hand you a beautiful gift box, it really makes my heart melt.
Thank you Adam and Lauren Gniel. It was a pleasure to help make your day special and I love my mug and accessories.

Also, to Steve and Glenda Morris for your beautiful gift of socks. You were at one of your most saddest days last week when saying goodbye to Bill, yet you still thought of me. It was an honour to be with you all on that day.
I will wear my socks often during Winter and teal is my favourite colour!

When Simon and Taryn made the journey from WA to marry on Simon's beloved Murray River, with their 4 children in tow as well as many friends and family, it was a ceremony filled with love, laughs, and even 'Siri' making a comment on something she must have heard 😅😅

As the sun was setting on this gorgeous sunny, warm Autumn day an elopement ceremony was taking place with only the bride, groom, their young son, photographer, witness and 'yours truly' privy to the happy event. It's still very "sssshhhh" until the couple surprise family and friends but I wanted to share a few snippets 🥰
When we first met, bride and groom were absolutely set on having their ceremony this way. "No fuss, no huge expense, just the 3 of us being together and officially becoming a family is exactly what we want. We have other plans for our life together that doesn't include a big wedding day" they said, and that's exactly what they had (with a few laughs and nerves of excitement throughout the brief ceremony).
When rings were being exchanged, I told them to say "whatever is in your heart" and to hear both bride and groom say "I love you" to each other with a loving twinkle in their eyes, I knew this moment would always be special to them.
So as the sun is now going down, another couple close the day as husband and wife.

Don't you love it when couples choose to do something a little 'out of the ordinary??' When Tracy and Hooky married recently on an extremely hot, sunny afternoon at the beautiful property of a friend, they wanted their day to be full of fun, laughs, love stories and of course the eating and drinking that comes with a great celebration. Tracy danced her way down the aisle to the laughter and clapping of their guests and waiting at the end of the aisle was Hooky, who swiftly took the hand of his wife to be and twirled her around as they had a little dance together before joining their wedding party and 'getting down to business'.
It was a ceremony filled with laughs and much love as two families united together and Tracy and Hooky who had known each other since High School (and Tracy admitting she didn't like the teenage Hooky back then!!) became husband and wife with their combined children, grandchildren, extended family, friends and Tracy's amazing 90+ year old mum, all sharing in the happiness of what was to be a great day! It was smiles all around for everyone, including this very happy Celebrant and her Roadie!

On a picturesque private property, on a glorious, hot Saturday afternoon I had the pleasure of hearing Haylea and Michael say "I Do" as their family and friends also shared in this happy celebration. The groom and his best man arrived in "style" in big, shiny Kenworth trucks which could be heard well before being seen 😀😀. The bride was stunning as she walked down the aisle on dad's arm, but the highlight of the ceremony was little Lacey who decided that walking down the aisle was 'not for her' and swiftly turned and ran away........but Uncle was quick with his reflexes to take control! At the end of such a fun filled ceremony, I needed me a travla!!

It is always very touching to have live music playing at the beginning of a farewell service. With the mysterious, grey skies above us, our service concluded with a beautiful mother farewelled as the piper played "Going home".
