Thinking about wedding planning ?
Don't just think, do something !
Chloe and Tom had it all put to bed in plenty of time and were able to really enjoy their day.
Don't get stuck not knowing what to do or where to go or who to talk to. NOW is the time to chat with suppliers for your day. Venues, photographers and celebrants book out so quickly; make sure you have who you want for your special day.
Booking well into 2025 and beyond - infinity even !!

What do you get when you put 7 men in black suits on 7 Harley bikes; add a gorgeous bride and her "bride tribe" and place them in a gorgeous setting, plus sunshine and dance sounds and capture it all by a couple of super pros, the best in the business ?
You get a banger of a wedding and I get to be a part of it..
Jess and Jake knocked their day out of the park and The Russell family added another to the married clan.

Tis the season to get married !!
And what a banger of a ceremony, a couple and a venue this one was..My first time there, and what a sensational location.
The Gunbower Butter Factory !!!!!! Wowee !!!!!
It's the little things that become the big things and are noticed by family and friends. Nice touches were everywhere, captured and remembered for all time...
Narelle and Matt and their "Brady Bunch" families were an absolute delight work with and the love that they all have for each other shone through, just like the sunshine.

Some things are not all as they appear to be.
Guests arrived at Shannon and Josh's the "engagement" party, collected a numbered key, tied it around their wrists, checked out the upside down cake and commenced drinks and celebrations. Newly "engaged" couple greeted guests and managed to sneak away quickly only to return when the music fired up as Bride and Groom !! Even coordinated a "sneak peek" for Josh in the midst of all of this.
And what was with the key ? Drew two numbers out and these lucky two were their witnesses for signing !!
Surprise Wedding done right ! Ask me how to make yours extra special. I'd love to be in on your secret..... YEP I was the sloppiest food service waiter until all was revealed

I'm sure that you have heard all of this before - But not from me !!
2023 was huge and 2024 is looking to be even huger !!(Is that even a word ? Anyway you know what I mean)
A quick flashback at just some of the couples who "tied the knot” in 2023, in all different places, at all different times and in all different ways - their way, their day !!
If you recognise all of these places, you have done very well, but all were within an hour of the river...talk about variety.
Now is definitely the time to get things into gear for your wedding day - be it 2024 or 2025 or beyond (Infinity maybe ???)
PS. Check out the special piping on the wedding cake at the end - good things come to those who wait, but don't wait too long to book your wedding suppliers.

Do you remember this pic ?
It was Aryka's wedding day in the January of 2022 and her bestie Emalie was her bridesmaid. WELL, jump forward to Emalie’s wedding day last month and YEP, you guessed it, Aryka and Emalie were back in the bridal party game once again.
These two know how to have fun and LOTS of it !! Guess that's why Emalie's special day was on a Friday, so that they could party all weekend long !!
Their ever smiling husbands were there too in Matt and Marc.
And Emalie's and Marc's two little humans just had to be included in the ceremony; one as ring bearer and the other as, umm, tent maker in Emilie's veil.
Such a fabulous day in Barham, NSW, and what a gorgeous collection of people - loved every minute of it !! Thanks for inviting me to be a part of your special day xx

You know the saying - "Tradies get the ladies !" And this was certainly the case when Clint came to paint Jess's home in Cobar, NSW. Skilled with the brush, Clint also swept Jess away by cutely harassing her until she gave in. These two love doing life together in and around Moama with their gorgeous family, so why wouldn't you have a ceremony on the beach by the river, surrounded by family and captured exquisitely by Tamara Cadd Photography - Echuca Photographer.
The weather has turned, so girls, round up your tradie and make some time to come and have a chat with me about planning your special day.
PS. don't ask the celebrant to carry your wedding cake across slippery sand !!!!!!

Weddings and wine just seem to go together don't they ?
Especially when you can combine them in a ceremony and reception located in a winery. It truly is the best of both worlds.
Such was the case when my beautiful niece married her Prince Charming (even though he is a Bombers supporter marrying into a Blues family !!)
Carlei Estate in Upper Beaconsfield was the setting, the best moments captured by the uber talented Emily Lumsden Photography and the bestest live music from Rhys Tolhurst made for a winning combination for Courtney and Nathan.
Great day, great place, my great family.

By the water's edge, on board a paddlesteamer or set on the historic wharf overlooking the river, we can get you married anywhere ( that's legal, obviously )

"Don't worry about having a "different wedding" - have YOUR wedding". These are very wise words indeed. My business tagline is "your day, your way" and this has been so evident over the course of my time as a celebrant (nearly 400 ceremonies to date)
Jess and Ryan did just that. In a private house, with a river setting, surrounded by those nearest and dearest, these two had the wedding that they wanted - and still with the trims. Definitely felt the love at yesterday’s Echuca Moama Weddings and Events Festival. My thanks to the many, many people who attended, those who stopped by for a chat, those who devoured the cupcakes (so that I didn’t have to force myself to eat them), those who enquired about dates for their special day AND, especially, Thanks to the organisers for putting together a Ripper Day !!
I look forward to another whole year of working with my couples to plan and deliver their special day.

Rituals in a ceremony..what are they ? why are they there ?
To include a ritual in your own special ceremony on your day, is to add a little personal meaning, commemoration or an acknowledgement of a tradition.
Blended families coming together love a sand ceremony; a handfasting is the symbolising of "tying the knot", a wine ceremony acknowledges a shared love and a tea ceremony respectfully invites families to join together
More modern quirky practices have seen "flower men", "beer dudes", grooms ladies and bridesmen.
Still waiting for the day when a groomsman bursts into an interpretive dance - I'm so up for it !!

People, places and pictures - they all come together on a wedding day. A few shoutouts here...
The fun couple Madde and Ryan, you were so much fun to work with; the places, two of them actually with their ceremony at the delightful Paradise Gardens in Moama and the Reception at Dungula Events Centre Dungula Events Centre. This was all brilliantly captured by Lisa Nardella of Lisa Nardella Photography
Bringing all of these elements together was a heck of a job, but they did it - in style, with grace, beauty and charm.

It is truly wedding season so what better time to start with some serious wedding spam...
Have had a fabulous few months of celebrating that special day with brides and grooms, their families and friends.
The added bonus has been to find some amazing locations and venues that have played host.
Check out this tranquil garden ceremony setting Dubuque Bed & Breakfast, the historic dwelling having been constructed in 1887 in Numurkah, just 35kms from Shepparton.
Emily and Ricky and their gorgeous "little fam" celebrated with family and friends, having had to reschedule twice before.
Having known Emily for some years and having worked with her and her sister, Maddie, it was a very special day for me.
A particularly beautiful tribute was the garden seat with the hats of those loved ones who had since departed this earth, recognised and remembered on this day.

Is it an elopement if other people know about it ? Yes it is, because sometimes couples just want to get married and, possibly, have a celebration at another point in time.
Whatever you want to call it, not everyone plans that big ceremony day and even bigger reception. I have conducted some absolutely beautiful ceremonies at couples' own homes, in their own family settings, privately by the river and in gardens.
