The weekend is done and dusted, and what a huge weekend it was. 96 bowlers across six teams, turned up for the Edinburgh Shield.
It was a tightly fought contest and played in the correct spirit. The winners of the weekend were the guys from the Footscray Bowling Club.
Weekends like these, help little bowling clubs like ours. The weekend couldn't have been possible without the tireless efforts of staff, directors and our amazing volunteers.
The first big shout out, goes to Tony Turner our bowls secretary. He put in a power of time and effort into making this weekend a huge success.
To Julie Sellers Cheryl Barnes Tracey Miles Robyn Ferry and all the wonderful ladies who put in hours and hours of work to keep the bowlers and their supporters feed. To all the members who donated food for the weekend, thank you so very much, your donation was very much appreciated and enjoyed.
A huge thank you again to everyone that made the weekend a successful one.

It's Friday and you know what that means, well apart from the weekend is here. It's bistro night at the Bowlo, so come on down and enjoy a delicious meal, cooked by the awesome Julie Sellers and her band of merry helpers.
Plus we have the Friday night raffles, with 10 mystery box prizes, plus more to give away. The members draw is up to $300 and you have to be here to win it.
Don't forget we have the pool table and dart boards down the back for more fun and games. It's all here and waiting for you at the Finley Bowling Club. Because it's all happening at the Bowlo!!!!

Tonight we played our first game in the Yarra Mul Eight Ball Comp. We were up against Yarrawonga's Termo Green. Our 6 pool shark were

After the first six singles matches it was 3-3, with Scott, Tony and Steve winning their matches.
Jason & Scott, were up first in the doubles and managed to take the win.
Steve and Tony were up next and they went down in a hard fought contest. With one doubles match left to play, scores were locked at 4-4.
It was then left up to Tracey (Slamo) and Gordie to bring home the chocolates. In an absolute nail bitter, Tracey Slamo Miles pulled out the winning shot, to give us our first victory, from our very first match.
It was a great night, with some excellent pool played. A big thank you to the Termo team, for helping us with the rules of the comp and the tough competition.
Next Wednesday we take on Yarra Blue at home. The fun and games starts at 7pm. Feel free to come along and watch some entertaining pool.

A Great day was had at our Fruit Bat Easter Saturday Triples tournament. Winners were Barooga, 2 nd Swanpool, 3rd Finley. Best game winners were Jerilderie and Finley. Encouragement went to Jeff, May and Laurie. See you all back next year for a bigger event.

Happy Friday Members & Guests,
After a long busy and warm working week, it's time to kick back, relax and come o down to the Finley Bowlo for a cold beer, wine, spirit or soft drink and finish it of with a delicious meal from our bistro.

Speaking of the bistro, I would like to Welcome Nikki Hansen on board as our new cook. I'm sure all the regular members will take the time to make Nikki feel very welcome.

Don't forget it's also, Friday night raffle time and we have some great vouchers and other prizes on offer.

ATTENTION MEMBERS & GUESTS

As of tomorrow the 1st of February, there will a price increase across the board, on all beer, wine, spirits, soft drink etc.

Due to a alcohol price rise already this year and there not being a price increase to the bar prices in 3 years, this is something that unfortunately has to happen.

However, with our brand new point of sale system, up and operational as of today. I am happy to announce that starting from again the 1st of Feb, there will be a members discount on all drinks.

All you have to do is, when you come to the bar to order a drink, produce your members card and then you will receive the discount.

It has to be YOUR card, you can not use another members card for the discount. It's time for those 30 year old tills to go bye bye lol.
