It's not always easy to stay when difficult conversations arise and we feel honoured that you all did.

Thank you Tanya and Sue for adding to the conversation with your wisdom and appreciations.

It was also wonderful to hear the appreciation for safe spaces and conversations such as these at events like - Thankyou so much to the Goolwal Goolwal and BigSound teams for your confidence and support.

So good..

Gabby has been coming to our monthly Open Mics almost since the beginning and she's getting better and better everytime!
On Sunday she took out the win, scoring $200 because she won the audience over with her confidence and heart filled singing and they voted for her!!
But the money is just the icing on the cake for Gabby. What she loves is singing and sharing music and thats why she keep coming back to Tin Camp Studios at The Hungry Spirit each month.

Lightning Ridge & Beyond

You are invited you to a fabulous Musicians Mixer being hosted at the Tin Camp at THE Hungry Spirit by Music NSW and Outback Arts

It's a brilliant opportunity to get together, to have a bit of a play/sing (bring your instruments!) and to talk about all things music and to get the lowdown on upcoming opportunities with Music NSW (government) the Thai restaurant will be open until 430pm if you want to grab an early dinner and we'll have the sound PA all set up to easily plug in.

Loved receiving this clip of performing recently.

The bush fires of the 19/20 summer saw us sharing the verandah of mutual friend's with Gypsy and her family. And it has been wonderful to be updated since then on how 'watered.. seeds of bravery in singing and songwriting..' have flourished.

Looking forward to what comes next..

We are very excited to announce the season opening band for our Open Mic series is WHERE'S DAVE from Coonabarabran!

We are super passionate about supporting regional artists and we are always on the lookout for rising talent.

Trading their ususal pub gig for an evening at Tin Camp Studios,

Where's Dave is definately going to get the audience on their feet and dancing...

So get it in your calendar now - 28th April (Sunday).. Open Mic starts from 5pm and we'll be done and dusted before 9 so it's not too late on a school night.

There's a $200 cash prize for the people's choice talent.. so if you can sing, dance, recite poetry, play an instrument or tell a yarn...or have other random talents that you'd like so share, please come along and give it a go!

Aunty Brenda and Jacqui and their fabulous helpers will be back with delicious tucker to buy and the fires will be roaring too...

The start of Autumn has seen Warren off to NSW - preparing to convert the Tin Camp @ THE Hungry Spirit into a recording studio and Donna wrapping things up from the Summer back in Nipaluna. So we thought it would be a nice time to reflect on the creative and active beauty that was the Summer with the Touring Tin Camp Studio. We were very lucky to have @Ursula Woods capture some of the action at @Cygnet Folk Festival in mid January. We are incredibly grateful to Bridget and Erin at @Cygnet Folk Festival and Colin at @Contemporary Arts Tasmania for their work in bringing this to fruition. Along with our awesome crew (@phildave, @josiemason, @alexmoss, @willbusch, @christophercoleman, @colinlangridge, @coraleewilliams, @mahalimason)) and wonderful artists - Ilyas Hussain, Nakita Gabatel, Rebel Black, Gabrielle Gartrell, Tasha Matthews, Jethro Pickett, Young Dawkins, Emily Shephard, Ben Salter, Ruth Langford, Patrick Chermside, Steve Bond, The Mainlanders, Madelena, Oceanique, Paul Roberts and our Open Mic participants, we were are able to create a beautiful debut for Tin Camp at Cygnet.
