Small signs of big hands-on work - boots by the door, gloves waiting in the morning light.

Each Tuesday, our volunteers roll up their sleeves and step into the rhythm of the land, harvesting fresh produce, washing bunches of greens, and sharing stories over lunch.

What begins in the soil ends around the table: food grown with care, gathered by many hands, and shared in community.

🌿 Learning by doing — and painting! 🎨✨

As part of farm for nature program, students spent the day learning about local wildlife and how we can help protect their habitats. After discovering which native species need a little extra support,like rosellas, bent-wing bats, and ringtail possums, they rolled up their sleeves to build and paint these colourful wildlife homes. 🐦🦇🐿️

Each box serves a special purpose: some will give birds a safe place to nest, others will shelter bats or possums. But every one of them helps make our environment just a little more welcoming for our native neighbours. It’s hands-on, creative learning that connects kids with the land, with community, and with the simple joy of caring for Country. 💚

🌿 Our Final Seasonal Feasts for 2025 🌿

The farm is shifting into spring — salad leaves are back, rainbow chard is glowing, curly kale’s looking lush, and the herbs are doing their thing 🌱

To mark the change in season, we’re hosting two last feasts for the year — a celebration of this vibrant harvest, and the incredible women from refugee and migrant backgrounds who’ve journeyed through our Staying Grounded program.

These feasts aren’t just about the food (though it will be delicious). They’re about culture, community, and creating real opportunities through meaningful, paid work.

🍽️ Dinner – Thurs 9 Oct | 6–8pm (2 courses)
🍽️ Lunch – Wed 15 Oct | 12–2pm (3 courses)

Lunch is also a fundraiser for appeal 💛

These are our final seasonal feasts before we pause till Feb — we’d love to see you there.

We’re so grateful to be teaming up with again for the upcoming Food 4 Future workshops. Running in the September school holidays, these free workshops help young people (15-24) build life skills in cooking, meal planning and budgeting while boosting employability by gaining a TAFE certified food handling certificate. Plus, each participant gets to take home a box of fresh, healthy veg from us🥕

We’re bringing: salad mix; carrots; broccolini; dill; parsley; mustard greens; parsley; celery; and lemons. You can also order a veggie box each week for Thursday pickup at GROW, then just top up on veggies as you like from our market stall✨

Always organic and seasonal, this week’s harvest is looking like: carrots, daikon radish, salad mix, mustard greens, red curly kale, Tuscan kale, cherry bell radish, celery, coriander, parsley, rhubarb, & broccolini.

Each veg box is hand picked with a range of these fresh veggies, made up to the box value you choose (small or large).

Our organic veg is now in Ocean Grove!

You can now order online and pickup your veg boxes at in Ocean Grove every Thursday. We’ve been excited to collab with these guys for a while now. They have a gorgeous space where you can enjoy smooth coffee and delicious food; and now pick up fresh, organic veg every week.

Orders close Tuesday 7:30am for the same week pickup, with Red Park pickup being Thursdays 9am-5pm.

Our chook coop wall is looking a bit sad so mural artist is going to help us spruce it up!

Throughout the day, your young ones will be guided by Isabelle, learning skills in mural design, watercolour, and painting. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in group mural painting, as well as take their own piece of art home.

Honey is back!🍯

We have a fresh batch of honey and chilli honey from Coastal Nectar available on the shop - the perfect addition to your veg box. .nectar is a local business producing small batch, raw, cold filtered honey from their hives in Jan Juc (4km away from Common Ground Project!) and the Otway’s (less than 50km from us!). Can’t get any more local than that.

Get your orders in by Tuesday morning 7:30am for pickup the same week.
