Parents and youth of the Surfcoast / Geelong region, it’s time to talk climate with our young people! (Ages 8-18)

The fantastic Annie Brien, a climate resilience practitioner, will be facilitating a wonderfully inspiring workshop engaging creative practices to support young people and families to process feelings around climate change. This workshop will motivate, uplift young people to feel empowered in their lives to develop actions they can practice to live sustainably.

Annie will lead young people and their parents through interactive activities, using their hands to get messy and creative to process feelings and support creative problem solving. Expect some clay play, water play and big brainstorming activities!

Participants will come away feeling positive about a challenging topic! This workshop will encourage families to think collectively about how to build resilience in their communities.

HARVEST FESTIVAL - STALLHOLDER SPOTLIGHT!

The lovely Fiona from will be attending our upcoming Harvest Festival with her jars of handmade Australian garlic paste and a delicious hot food offering of garlic marinated BBQ chicken skewers!

Fiona hand peels the garlic and makes it into a delicious creamy garlic paste (known as toum). It’s free of preservatives / additives and made in small batches, with love!

Available for purchase from her stall at our Harvest Festival held here at Common Ground Project on November 3rd 🧄

At this year’s Harvest Festival on November 3rd, the exuberant Patrick Meaney, from Farm to Ferment will be hosting a one hour FREE workshop. He’ll be running us through the ‘basics of fermenting’, facilitating attendees emergence into the wonders of fermentation.

Patrick will showcase the fundamentals of fermentation, an ancient practice that allows for the development of complex flavours, increased bioavailability, and enhanced nutrition. This workshop will equip participants with the initial skillset to allow for experimentation of plant alchemy at home. An opportunity to add a touch of effervescence into your life awaits, a chance to utilise fermentation to vitalise holistic connection and culture.

Spots are limited so be sure to register prior to the day. See event details in the link in our bio.
