My smile after this ceremony and my smile reading these words were as wideeeee as my smile gets... next level grateful .

"Kahani is the sweetest angel sent down from heaven and we are oozing with gratitude to have crossed paths with her. We are so fortunate to have had Kahani travel to Fiji for us, for our special day with her amazing fiancé *extra bonus points*

From the moment Jack (my now Husband eeeeeek) and I met Kahani, we felt so loved and welcomed. We both felt so comfortable like we had known Kahani our whole lives. The attention to effort and detail did not go unnoticed. We had a private ceremony at our home (to tick off the legal paperwork side of things) prior to our day in Fiji a few months later. Both contained so much love, laughter & many happy tears - we'd do it all over again!

Looking back on our experience sends my body into all those warm, fuzzy feelings, sending me right back to the most magical day of our lives. We could not have asked for a better experience with Kahani. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much Kahani. Our door is forever open for you! 2.0 let's go..."

"Kahani was the absolute non-negotiable for our wedding! We didn't care where/when we got married, as long as Kahani was the celebrant! Our wedding was a surprise at our engagement party, so Kahani had to keep the secret for 6 months, meanwhile she was meeting up with our friends and family for their own wedding planning - she can certainly keep a secret!!! Everyone at the wedding loved Kahani, from 20 year olds to 90 year olds, she has the perfect energy and knows how to keep a crowd engaged! We couldn't recommend Kahani enough!!!!"

"We had a few celebrant meetings lined up and Kahani was our very first. After we spoke, we instantly knew she would be perfect for Dale and I. She was the perfect mix: serious when it mattered, but kind, funny, and relaxed enough that it made our whole experience a joy. We wanted someone that mirrored us - playful; but could reflect the big deal that was marriage - and Kahani was just that. Needless to say, we cancelled the rest of our meetings and locked her in straight away.

Kahani - on the day, the bridesmaids and I felt like there was a smiling face there through all the chaos the morning of, and Dale and I felt like - through the emotional blur that is a ceremony - you steered the ship, and we could take kind and gentle (and subtle) direction from you while our minds raced during that big life moment.

I haven’t even touched on your incredible help with vows, managing our expectations for what would be happening - but all 10/10. The portal you offer to help guide couples with everything is so professional and easy to navigate, super impressive.

We could not recommend you more. Thank you so much for being part of our special day and we are SO happy you’re part of our memories. THANK YOU! From the bottom of our hearts."

Jon proposed to Tayla by writing a haiku. Jon and Tayla chose to write their wedding vows as haikus accordingly. Of course, I couldn't help but write a haiku of my own to conclude their ceremony. And gosh did all of the above make it SUCH a cute and creative pleasure to marry these particularly cute and creative creatures x

✦ Tash and Dale ✦

I'm not sure I can adequately articulate what a JOY it was weaving together such banter with such romance for these two... chatting and laughing and writing and delivering a ceremony that might somehow, at least slightly, do justice to the radiant humans Tash and Dale are. I'm not sure I can articulate how incredible so many other elements of this wedding were, to be fair. But what I can do is let some pics do the talking. Here's the first of them x

✦ Taking a moment ✦

It's funny how some of my perspectives have changed after a few years in this industry... when I first became a celebrant, I remember thinking that the signing of your certificates would have to be the most boring part of a wedding that we should always strive to knock off in the quickest, least ceremonial way possible. For many of my couples, the option to sign in a private moment post-ceremony (rather than within) certainly remains most suitable. But the difference now is that, regardless of when exactly you've chosen to incorporate the signing, I try to maintain a vibe that feels fun and special. Try to facilitate a moment in which you two can truly take it all in. Try to ensure we're all signing with a smile or a laugh, always a cheer and occasionally a tear. It's absolutely possible for formalities to be brief but also not feel rushed, and that's my aim more and more of late - for ceremony and reception elements alike x

✦ OUT OF OFFICE ✦

Well my lover has spent a week riding a motorbike across Rajhastan already... and my cousin's multi-day Mumbai wedding awaits as Jan begins... and between these very cool things are coconuts to sip and cows to count. In sum: I'm India-bound tomorrow after my final wedding for the year today!

Will still be checking emails but responses will be slower. Will still post a thing or two but properly back on deck 9th Jan.

Most importantly: thank you. For supporting my little biz through another incredible year. For simply being here.

May your end to 2023 be filled with beautiful things x

"It’s really hard to put into words just how much we loved having Kahani as our celebrant and how grateful we are that she was the one who hitched us… but here goes!

When we first met with Kahani, the brief we gave her was “informal, fun, energised, laughter-filled, yet tugging at the heartstrings!” and wowee did she deliver. We felt so incredibly supported not just on the day of the wedding, but in the months, nay year, leading up to it as well. Kahani’s experience, guidance, tips, and all of the resources in the secret portal, were so incredibly valuable in helping us to plan, prepare and with all the decision-making that comes along with a wedding.

A celebrant really sets the tone for the day as it’s the first interaction that most guests have, and Kahani absolutely nailed the vibe. So much so that we had guests asking us if Kahani was a good friend, as the way she told our story and interacted with guests was as if she had known us for years. She was the perfect blend of approachable, down-to-earth, humorous and sincere.

Working with Kahani was a highlight of our wedding, and we wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up seeing her as the celebrant for many of our friends, as we had so many people asking after her.

Lordy lord, lotsa lovers asking little old me to stick around as MC! These emails fill me with glee. A quick note though! I do have a cap on how many weddings I'll agree to MC each month so the more notice, the better if this is something you're considering. Alternatively, there's the option to add on my 1:1 tailored coaching session where I give your chosen MC all my tricks of the trade for hosting your reception like an unequivocal pro. "I cannot put into words how amazing Kahani is as a celebrant and MC. Organised, amazing communication, relaxed, funny, warm, welcoming and down right incredible are a few that come to mind. Every single one of our guests commented on Kahani and many stated they have never been to a ceremony so amazing. Nothing was too much for her and Kahani went above and beyond. She was like our own personal wedding fairy on the night. Kahani has a skill for warming any crowd and her organisation and MC skills are outstanding. You will not be disappointed!"
