“Wow 10 out of 10 for this amazing team. From meeting them at one of their open days at their cool HQ through to celebrating with a glass of bubbles after Jessie pronounced us Husband & Wife (with Jake and Ruby signing as our witnesses) we could not have felt more supported and generally the “Big Love” as we did with these guys.

We met in the carpark before walking down to where our ceremony would be, chatting away like we were old friends. Any nerves we had were put at ease with how natural it felt.

Wouldn’t change a thing about our day, and will forever be recommending them to anyone that listens!!!”

Following on from our last post, this is a suuuuuper rough guide to what a lot of weddings that we see in our respective wedding businesses can cost. 80+ guests, afternoon ceremony, dinner service, dancefloor boogeying goodness. 50 large.

Double it if you go all out on attire, styling, have 180+ guests, and other optional additions.
Halve it if you have less than 40 guests, and hold back a bit on the food and booze budgets, as well as generally inviting less vendors to contribute.
It seems like a lot, I know. But remember that these are important life milestones that we CHOOSE to celebrate in whatever way we please. No one is forcing you to spend a cent! Weddings (elopements included) are a luxury item. If you want to celebrate it, we offer intimate elopement experiences that leave you feeling as valued and as celebrated as you deserve. Whatever the scale.

There’s no “right” amount: a $50k wedding isn’t overkill, the same as a $100k wedding isn’t overkill, if it’s important to the couple and carefully curated to reflect that fact. There’s no saying a $20k wedding will be lead to a better or worse experience than a $2k elopement, or an $80k wedding. The only judge of what your celebration should look like and the corresponding budget is the two people getting married.
There are options for everyone!! Huge weddings, tiny elopements (hi!!), and everything in between. You do you!!

The price of it all is just the price. It’s subjective, and in most cases it is quickly forgotten once the memories are made in the way that the couple wants. All that matters is that you feel comfortable with what is being spent to get the experience you both want.

We are Jessie and Jake. We both work in the wedding industry, and love it to pieces. We love love, and we love weddings. Given that so many people are asking for a smaller, less-fuss way to get married, we have combined our skills to offer elopement services, as one package.

Jessie does the celebrant thang, and Jake does the photography thang. Together we create simple, beautiful elopements for couples that just want to commit to a life together, without a massive wedding experience.
