If you are married, whether it was through us here at Big Love Elopements or not, what’s one piece of advice you would give to a recently engaged couple trying to choose their size/type of celebration?

Some people don’t know if they want zero guests as they simply sign the papers at a pub (hello, we got you 🥰) or they don’t know if they might prefer to have 200 guests at a winery (our team also have all their own wedding businesses).

5 years since we launched our wonderful biz. Many more years to come!
Goodness bloody gracious, time has flown!!
Hard to believe that 6.5 years ago we began planning this business together. Jessie and I (Jake) caught up for coffee to figure out a way to offer something new to the market. No one was doing what we were planning to do, and that big ol’ leap into the unknown 18 months later with our first elopement was the beginning of the best thing we ever did.

Many many more to come.

We have some news to share with our beautiful and supportive followers of Big Love Elopements.
We’ve made the tough (yet best decision for our business) to close our doors at Big Love HQ at the end of January 2025. This does not mean our business is closing, oh no sir-ee, we’ve got so much more to come for elopements in Geelong and surrounds so you aint getting rid of us that easily! We just won’t be offering elopements in our own venue anymore.
⚡️⚡️
A huge rent spike meant it just didn’t make sense financially to keep the venue and now we can focus on finding dream locations for our couples with all of our expertise and knowledge of the glorious Wadawurrung and Gadubanud lands we are so fortunate to work on.
We are so darn proud of all that we have achieved in the venue, making it so pretty and inviting for the 35 couples we’ve hitched at Big Love HQ, as well as fun photoshoots and hosting small events. We’ve loved having a co-working space to invite like-minded creatives in, have held over 300 meetings there, gotten to know our arcade neighbours and supported other small businesses down Pako for many lunch dates. AND we still have a bunch more lovers to hitch in HQ before we say our goodbyes. We feel GOOD about this change and can’t wait to share some big new things coming up for Big Love Elopements in 2025 😏😏
SO! If you’ve been eyeing off our venue and want to get hitched at HQ before January 29th 2025, HIT US UP! We’d love to squeeze as much love as possible into our beautiful venue before we go.
