We hope youāve had an unforgettable festive season filled with laughter, love, and plenty of delicious moments with the people who matter most. Over the break, weāve taken a bit of time to pause, reflect, and soak in the beauty of this past year. I have absolutely loved creating a warm, welcoming space for you allāserving top-notch food, amazing coffee, and getting to know so many of you, whether youāre locals or visitors from afar. Itās been such a privilege to share these moments, even if for just a little while.
Itās with a mixture of excitement and sadness that we announce The Aviary will be closing its doors as a cafĆ© as of today. While weāve truly adored every part of what we do, weāve come to the realisation that we just canāt juggle the energy and finances needed to keep the cafĆ© running Thursday-Sunday. With three little ones at home, weāve decided itās time to dedicate ourselves to this fleeting and precious chapter of family life.
But donāt worryāweāre not going anywhere! Weāre pivoting The Aviary into a private function space, available 7 days a week, and weāll still be hosting some super fun Supper Clubs and Sunday Sessions (dates to be announced soon!). And just so you know, our Terre Rouge Fine Food Catering is staying strong and is the heart of what we do. Itās the foundation weāve built over the years, and thatās not changing one bit. To our wonderful regulars: We canāt thank you enough for your support. Weāll miss serving you every week more than you know. You made this place special, and weāll always carry that in our hearts.

To our exceptional staff: Thank you for being the true faces of The Aviary. You made every visit a joy, greeting customers with smiles and serving up perfect cups of coffee with love. Geurie wonāt be the same without your warm presence!
