Memory Makers I'm a creator, designer, and photographer all rolled into one. I have experience with additional needs and I am proud to be 🖤💛❤ I love natural photography.

My name is Monica I am based in Glen Innes and I am a proud Aboriginal women, born in Armidale and raised on the outskirts of Uralla making me a descendant of the Anaiwan Tribe. Culture means the absolute world to me and I respect all people of all cultures and their beliefs. I have looked at the world with a photographic mind from a very young age and could never own enough cameras. Now, after 24

years of playing around and doing the occasional photoshoot here and there, I am going full flight into bringing what I see to life through my camera as a career. I am a mum of 4 and my youngest hits double digits this year so I decided it's my time to shine. I have an additional needs child as well so I understand the tricks of the trade and am willing to accommodate for special needs. What do I mean by that you ask? I believe the best images come from people feeling comfortable and not feeling pressured to pose a certain way. Most of the time I will do some posed photos and then you just have to imagine I am not there and I will capture the raw moments of your session. 👶 GENDER REVEAL 👶

New Years Day was a special one for this little family and for me! It was my first ever gender reveal session that was also designed by me and another friend at the request of the mum to be.

A very quiet and private gender reveal.

This was a whole week of work and I proved to myself it is possible to stay calm and get such a project completed 🙌

I was entering this into the Feature cake section of . I wasn't happy with the amount of support I had put in in and added more last night and supports in the base of the box.

Unfortunately it didn't survive the few km trip to the showground. A few nasty bumps in the road. Lessons learned and I have a mega load of cake to cut up.

10 years ago I made this quilt top. It was intended for my nephew but life got in the way.

It's lived a pretty rough life but today I decided it was time to give it a full life and finish it!!

It's been a hot minute since I was surprised with this honour!! 🙌

I have toiled on how I could display this beautiful honour to remind me of how special it really is 💛

I walked into my laundry and saw some shelves I used to have my Dōterra oils in and decided that's how I was going to do it 😃

There was a middle shelf so I risked knocking it out and luckily the plan worked!! I then played around with layout to then remember I had some sunflower Lego I randomly bought with no intentions (must have had some intuition). 💁‍♀️

Today In between cleaning, trying to finish a quilt and sorting my tool drawers, I have put this beauty together. The only thing left to decide is how to enclose the front...

Fill the whole thing with resin or cover with an acrylic sheet or thin resin sheet 🤔

2024 saw our dear Hannah completed year 10!!

Anyone that knows Hannah well knows that dresses, make-up and tiaras are not her norm.

Hannah can normally be found in a racesuit, gloves and helmet, tearing up the pavement racing for Ratbag Racing so to see this transformation blows me away!

Congratulations on finishing year 10 Hannah and we are so proud of you!!

In order for me to launch this rebrand, I need to be able to decide on a new logo!! For anyone that knows me well, decisions don't come easily 🤔🤷‍♀️

I did share one idea to begin with but I have been having some fun developing some options...

Hubby and I have already culled a few from the list but now it is up to you!!! 👉

The way I will decide which logo to use will be with the help of the public. The even more exciting part is each person who reacts to their favourite logo will go into the draw to win a 20% discount on a Mini Session of your choice!! 😲

Starting off the week with a photoshoot of a different kind from last year.

Each year I donate a voucher to the Armidale Toy Library for their Christmas raffle.

The winner from a few years ago pondered what she would use it for and then they purchased a new car!

So that was the answer. A photoshoot of their new wheels 🚘

Today comes the big news for Captured That! Photography and it's future direction 🤗

My daughter and I have decided to join forces and rebrand Captured That! And take a whole new direction 👀

Our new name will be.....
Memory Makers - Creations, Events and Photography 😲🩶

This is where Captured That! Creative will now be creating from as well as Captured That! Photography and we are also including events. 🎉👏

What do I mean by events? 🤔

Over the next week I will breakdown each part of this new entity and explain what I plan to do so keep an eye out for that 👀

As I will say goodbye to my very loved Captured That! Photography, in February, that has been my life on and off for the best part of probably 15 years of my 25 years experience, I welcome this new venture with open arms and I am so keen to teach my daughter everything I know and more to help set up her future 📸😍

She has the talent and the keen eye I had from a young age and we love working on creations and balloon arches together as well 😃

So there it is. Big changes but ones I will embrace and work hard towards making my dream become a reality 🫶🙏

While we were on holidays my nephew and son found a piece of timber laying around in the park. My nephew asked if I could put something on it for him. I gladly agreed and asked what he wanted. Since that day I've had constant reminders, full well knowing that I was going to give it to him for his birthday. The look on his face says it all when he opened his birthday present on the weekend.

We will go live this afternoon at 3pm to draw the winner of our discounted photo session!! Stay tuned!!
