There is a new committee of management responsible for the Glenmaggie Mechanics Institute Hall.
The committee would like to invite the local community’s input to what activities and events they would like to see over the coming year or two.

GLENMAGGIE MECHANICS’ INSTITUTE
Notice is given of a
PUBLIC MEETING
to be held at Glenmaggie Mechanics’ Institute on Thursday 8th February commencing
at 7.00pm.
The purpose of the meeting is to nominate no less than three (3) or more than nine (9)
persons as the Committee of Management for the Glenmaggie Mechanics’ Institute for a term of three years. The current committee’s term will expire on Thursday 8th February. All
positions will be declared open and nominations will be accepted prior to or on the night.
Nominations from women, Aboriginal people, people with disabilities, young people and
people from culturally diverse backgrounds are encouraged.
Further information, nomination forms and nominee declaration forms may be obtained by
contacting your local Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action office or at the

The Glenmaggie Mechanics’ Institute needs new Committee members.
The current members are all ready to retire; with no Committee, the doors of the Hall will be closed indefinitely.
If you are keen to keep this historic hall available to the wider community, please step forward and volunteer your time.
There are no more than 6 ordinary meetings per year.

With heavy hearts, the Committee of Management of the Glenmaggie Mechanics’ Institute bids vale to our Secretary and loved member Lee Clarke.

So passionate about promoting community and bettering opportunities for everyone, Lee worked tirelessly to fundraise for our Hall, and indeed our region.

Lee loved fun and her laughter was contagious. We have been blessed to have her in our lives and will miss her enormously.

We send our love to Laurie, Kim, Jodie and their loving family.

We will pop the bubbly in honour of you Lee. ❤️

WOOHOOOOOO! Get on the lake peeps!

We’re at Lake Glenmaggie in Gippsland today, stocking 10,000 rainbow trout that were grown at our Snobs Creek hatchery, near Eildon.

That’s Glenmaggie’s 2022 allocation of trout done and dusted, with plans to stock 50,000 Aussie bass fingerlings before Xmas. Ho, ho, ho!

Glenmaggie’s developed quite the reputation for growing some very big bass and it was amongst the first of Gippsland’s lakes and rivers to receive bass fingerlings when we started stocking the species 20 years ago. Since then, it’s racked up stockings exceeding 310,000 bass so put it on your bucket list if you’re ‘totally addicted to bass’. 😊
