The cake-cutting moment can be a little awkward.
By awkward, I mean you literally just stand there and cut a cake together.
That’s why I always recommend having a song playing in the background and if you’re up for it, milk the moment! Feed each other some cake, have a laugh, be a bit cheeky.
Otherwise, blink and you’ll miss it. Because it’s over in seconds!

Can we take a moment to appreciate this cake by Just WOW!

Meet Luna. The stunning ring bearer who almost stole the show 🦉
If it weren’t for Nicholas and Belle looking as incredible as they did, Luna would’ve been the star of the day.
After hundreds of weddings, I’ve seen a lot of cool things… but this was my first owl delivering precious air freight!
As we reached the moment to call for the rings, Luna’s handler quietly appeared at the end of the aisle.
Nicholas slipped on the glove, guests completely unaware of what was about to happen. Then, in slow motion, Luna soared down the aisle and landed gracefully on Nicholas’ arm.
Knowing what was to come, I crafted their ceremony to stay true to who they are, while subtly weaving in words and symbolism connected to flight and lunar light. A little poetic nod to the surprise that was about to unfold.
A moment that all in attendance will ever forget.

Belle… timeless, elegant, and absolutely radiant 🤍
Her bouquet, the black gloves, and that dress. Every detail was perfectly her.
Their day was a true reflection of who they are as a couple. Unique, stylish, and deeply connected.
Set amongst the forest at The Bower Estate, surrounded by their closest people, it felt almost mystical.
Dark tones, meaningful music, stacks of books, and personal touches everywhere you looked.
I even wore all black… the perfect way to blend into the moody magic of their ceremony.
It felt less like a performance and more like a beautiful ritual, shared between two souls in love.

The moment Nicholas and Belle shared their private vows at The Bower Estate. The moment. The backdrop. The emotion.
Captured so beautifully by Neil from
Private vows are becoming increasingly more popular and it’s easy to see why.
It’s a truly personal and intimate moment shared between just the two of you.
No audience. No nerves. Just raw, honest emotion and heartfelt promises.
I always share with my couples that you have options on your wedding day. Whether it be the ceremony, rituals, or when your vows.
If the thought of reading them in front of everyone makes you feel anxious, that’s completely okay.
You can still have that special exchange in private which allows you then to be fully present during the ceremony without the worry of that “big moment” looming.
Some couples choose private vows for the intimacy.
Others, for the peace of mind.
Either way, it’s your day, so do it the way you bloody want to do it. My role as your celebrant is to help you feel calm, comfortable, and completely yourselves.

This is the “we bloody did it” moment.

All the planning, the time, the stress, the uncertainty… every single bit of it led to this moment. Eli and Brittany, surrounded by love, letting go of it all and just living in the joy of their day.

Champagne flying. Laughter roaring. Love overflowing.
What a moment. What a photo. What a couple.

Some moments at a wedding stop you in your tracks — and this was one of them.

Eli and Brittany were surrounded not just by friends and family, but by the foundations of their love: their parents. Mid-ceremony, they invited all four of them to the front to share their wisdom on love, marriage, unity, and what it takes to make it through the seasons of life together.

It was raw, it was real, and it was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. When they first shared the idea, I didn’t hesitate for a second — because this was them through and through.

Their circle of loved ones showed up not just to witness their day, but to invest in their journey. Eli and Brittany — thank you for letting me be part of something so special.

Let’s talk about the power of a Photo Dash.

Imagine this: the couple sat in one spot, the music pumping, sax player vibing amongst the crowd, and guests rushing in and out to grab their moment with the newlyweds.
No stiff lineups.
No forced smiles.
Just pure, contagious energy.

Every single guest (and vendor) gets a photo. Friends, couples, families, solos… all in a burst of fun and absolute chaos. All captured by the amazingly talented duo that is

Luke and Lily’s photo dash was without a doubt the most electric, joy-filled moment I’ve ever seen at a wedding reception. The laughter, the movement, the vibe, the mischief — absolutely unmatched.

There’s just something about that walk back down the aisle…

The guests are cheering, the love is visible, and the celebration is shared by everyone around. Luke and Lily didn’t just walk down the aisle, they floated wrapped in love, laughter, and the energy of their people.

This one was extra special for me. I first met Lily years ago through my day job as a carpenter. I actually built the playground at the childcare center where she was the Director. To stand behind them on their wedding day, watching her beaming with happiness as Luke held her close… it was pretty bloody incredible!
