Hello internet friends. I wanted to introduce myself officially. I'm Cat and I'm a little obsessed with waste management ♻️ 👋
Luckily for me decided to step away from full time work life, and he handed me the reigns of his creation 💃🌱 one year ago.

I've had an interesting journey through my work life from travelling the globe on cruise ships as a massage therapist,
(I could tell you some of the most horrific stories on waste management during this time!) Hospitality around Australia and teaching in primary schools and early years. Sustainability and environmental education is a core interest of mine, and I get to stretch a bit doing this with and

Now, these seemingly unconnected roles have seamlessly blended together into my role here. I get to work with all kinds of good people who are working together to make this Earth a cleaner and safer place for today and future generations.

I'd love to connect with others who are on the global sustainability mission and collaborate on just how we can level up. Let's team up and show by example on just what actions we can do to leave this crazy place better than how we found it 😉🌱♻️✨️🌊

We recently received the news that we are now officially the "Best Sustainable Event Management Agency-Queensland"

So stoked! This shows a change in attitude to how waste is managed during events and that by investing in waste management during your event, positive change can happen.

They also wrote a sweet article about what we do which can be accessed below.

I'd like to thank all the wonderful educators who work with us on the waste stations, as well as all the amazing events that can see the value in engaging us to help reduce their landfill impact.

Hello crew!
Who is keen to come and have the best long weekend ever with us at Bluesfest on the Easter long weekend? 🤘💚♻️
Requirements:
• 18 years and over.
• Decent work ethic and reliable.
• Available for all 5 days, Thursday 6th - Monday 10th of April 2023 for a rotation of 5-hour shifts. Shifts are morning, day x2, evening, and “graveyard” (graveyard is a shorter shift)
• Own camping set up and gumboots. (Also, helps to bring your own water bottle, there is water on site to refill your bottle as needed)
Looking for amazing humans who can volunteer on the sorting tray.
In return you get
• Access to Bluesfest for the duration of the festival including convenient workers' access points. (Skip those big crowds and get a great spot to watch the artists!)
• Complimentary access to sustainability teams' campgrounds. (first in best dressed)
• 3 daily meals including tea and coffee and snacks.
• An unforgettable experience with new friends who all care deeply about protecting the natural environment.
• Musical memories with some of the world’s best artists!

Botanical Bazaar held at Country Paradise Parklands was a blast this year🚀

Our eco-angels diverted a whopping 260.7 kgs of recoverable resources from landfill! 🧚‍♂️♻

This is a separate total from the 216 CDS (10-cent refund) that was redirected to Gecko Environment Council 🌱🌊

Sustainable waste management for events is key to ensuring that you are meeting your sustainability goals and leaving a minimal footprint on the Earth 🌏

Plus, you'll have the added bonus of being good humans who recognises that landfill is 👎

Loving these results we are achieving at The Village Markets thanks Eco Angel Murray Morris for your dedication to our system.

55.00kg of front-of-house waste was generated at TVM on 6 June, where 95% of resource (52.00kg) was diverted from landfill, with only 3.00kg going to landfill. Also 55 eligible containers were collected and donated to Surfrider Foundation.

Approximately 35kg of back-of-house organic resource was fed to the industrial worm farm and 45.00kg's (5 x 240 Lt bags) of compostable resource were introduced into the compost system at Southern Beaches Community Garden.
