Last year for Godeeva + Sam 🖤 warning…little speel ahead

When you’ve been doing something for so long it can be hard to find new inspiration. Everything you see you’ve already done before & so the passion that used to drive you becomes a chore. Just before this wedding I found my self in a creative slump. Writers block if you will. I was constantly searching for the next cool trend to re ignite that passion. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good trend but I found through shooting this beautiful wedding, that going back to basics was my answer. Light. It sounds so basic right. But I had truly forgotten how much I love storytelling through light. Sun flares, rainbow flares, dark shadows, direct light, all of it. It’s a hard feeling to describe. It’s like opening an Amazon parcel you’ve been dying to get & seeing your food coming all at once. It might not be your answer, but for me it wasn’t anything grand & I’m still learning things every day but looking back at this gallery & the light filtering through the church onto their love struck faces truly reminded of why I’m here & why I’m still doing what I do. You also can’t go wrong with a good BW storyboard 💫
