I've been to many wedding receptions, and one thing I've noticed is how much the table settings can impact the overall vibe. So, here are 5 quick tips I've picked up along the way:

1. Keep centerpieces below eye level for easy conversation
2. Use place cards for a touch of personalisation and to avoid seating confusion
3. Ensure there's enough space between place settings for comfort
4. Match your table decor to your overall wedding theme for a cohesive look

I recently officiated a breathtaking ceremony for Ash and Nick at the stunning Rosewood Estate in Beechmont, QLD.

The champagne tower, a symbol of luxury and celebration, actually has its roots in the 17th century. It all started when the British began to produce stronger glasses. This breakthrough led to the creation of the now-iconic champagne coupe - that broad, shallow glass that became the preferred choice for champagne towers among the elite.

But there is a cheeky legend about these coupe glasses. It's said that the shape was molded from Marie Antoinette's left breast in the 1700s to celebrate her marriage to Louis XVI.

While historians debate the truth of this tale, it certainly adds some sparkle to the wedding champagne tradition.

Whether you believe the legend or not, one thing's for sure - a champagne tower adds a touch of bubbly brilliance to any celebration.

Recently, I had the joy of officiating Sarah and Derek's beautiful wedding. The highlight? Their touching unity sand ceremony 💞

For those unfamiliar, a unity sand ceremony is a meaningful ritual where the couple pours different colored sands into a single container. As the grains blend, they symbolise the merging of two lives into one unbreakable bond.

As they poured their sands together, you could feel the love and commitment in the air. The resulting artwork? A stunning swirl of colours as unique as their relationship.
