Another beautiful Babynaming yesterday morning, this family’s 3rd little princess. I was privileged enough to officiate their first daughter Willow’s naming day, then married her mum & dad in an intimate ceremony at North Straddie, another treasure in a 1st birthday and naming day for little Bonnie and now, Olive. Happy 10th anniversary to these two! I can’t believe it’s been that long. Our eldest son Zanon & wife Bernie married at the stunning and it had everything + more! The guys all made a statement entrance revealing their hero shirts underneath, family unity candles were lit, a handfasting, rose petal confetti guard of honour and a dove release to finish! 🕊️🥰💜

Danielle & Mario’s recent wedding was a long time coming as they’d been together for 24 years and thought it ‘about time’ to get married. A beautiful couple at the equally beautiful chapel. It was a very emotional day for everyone so to try to stop the flood of tears from the wedding party, I told them before walking in, to watch me as I’d poke my tongue out at them (knowing full well I’d never do that!) 😜what I did do was once I had thanked Danielle’s step dad and introduced myself I opened my book to blow the dust out to break the ice, calm the nerves and start with a giggle and stop the crying…thankfully it went down really well!
I can’t wait for the professional photos from as these were taken by my hubby on his phone. (Surprise!) 😘

I can’t believe this was 10 years ago yesterday for the stunning Anida and Shaun at Anida was the daughter of a fellow celebrant, so I was truly honoured to have been asked to officiate such a memorable & special day. To fit the black and white theme they had a sand ceremony and as you can see right at the kiss, the dolphins did their thing! 🐬Yes, you can get married at any of our beautiful and unique theme parks right here on the Gold Coast! The wedding today was originally planned for February next year but due to family circumstances had to be bought forward. It was beautiful in so many ways as the couple wanted a traditional and meaningful ceremony to reflect them and their beliefs. We opened with the Corinthians and finished with the wedding blessing. The bride was presented with a special momento by her 97 year old grandmother which was such a special moment and they were showered with love as they left the chapel! Congratulations N + B, it was one very special day 🌹🫶🏻🌹

The queen wore an amethyst crown and fur collared cape with the king wearing his black suede vest and sword. I wore the same white cape their overseas officiant wore in Cardiff (see my last post) surprising their unsuspecting dinner guests with their wedding ceremony, opening with the ringing of the bell and an acknowledgment of country. After their vows, I finished with a handbinding and ringing of the bell to close.

From this to this yesterday. I started the day at the for their open day then home for a quick change to marry S + C at their home in Southport. None of the dinner guests knew it was a wedding and I was asked to wear the same cape their officiant had in Cardiff where they had a ceremonial but not legal wedding. Some beautiful elements from this wedding I’ll share in another post. The beauty of having a celebrant is your wedding can be held anywhere at any time, including whatever you want. Happy Sunday 🫶🏻

It’s been an epic week away celebrating our anniversary and my milestone birthday and now back to celebrating all things weddings. These two photos were taken on the same day for two very different weddings on Saturday. The first a chapel wedding at St Andrew’s for Fiona & Paul’s fun morning wedding, then later that afternoon for Amy & Keith’s garden party styled country wedding at with sheep, donkeys and ponies in the background. Can’t believe I made it! 720 months old today and umpteen days around the sun for me as well as celebrating 37 years of marriage, depicted in my hubby’s photo from his lifeguard days. The photo of him was after a bad cyclonic weather and was on the front page of the paper. It spoke to me in so many ways and I kept it in the front of my diary. Little did I know much later, I met the man and after we’d dated a few weeks, he took me to meet his parents and there it was framed on the wall! The other items depicted are pretty obvious and you may think my ladybirds are missing but no, a beautiful little nymph was rescued from the daisies. Hearing the amazing Qld Australian of the Year, Dr .palipana OAM speak at the recent luncheon in honour of the by raising $5,500 on the day and as someone who has experienced life in a wheelchair and living with a disability, it was a very emotional day. To hear of his recent trauma in travelling is so disheartening. Please educate yourself in needs of others not just in those whose disability is obvious but those who it’s hidden! Please don’t be ignorant and think you know better - listen to actually hear…& if you see a fellow traveller wearing a sunflower lanyard or badge, it’s alerting you to the fact that they may need extra care and help.

I don’t just officiate weddings or elopements but also renewal of vows like Cassie & Aaron did recently at They’d had a rushed intimate wedding prior to moving overseas for work and they really wanted to renew their vows in style with a handful of family and friends with the whole feel of a true wedding. My last wedding in September was so much fun where I inadvertently matched the groom and his son’s! The bride & groom remembered me from the bride’s nephews wedding 7 years ago and the groom went to school with my hubby. They 1st met in the early 80s but went their separate ways until they finally put a ring on those fingers yesterday surrounded by their children and extended family and friends. The bride was early but we started late waiting for guests who were stuck in traffic. Congratulations Michael & Jacqueline ~ may you make up for all the days you’ve spent apart. ✨
