Signed donated and shared. I’m disappointed, disgusted and angry 😡 at this news. There is plenty of land around for the government to build their school. The government have a lot to answer for. I bet if this was her parents or family property she wouldn’t be trying to take it when theres plenty of other land available. is quick to destroy lives. There she is closing down a school that’s needed by all the locals and their children next to the Gabba so she build something that is not needed and the school is. Once again if it was her kids or families and friends kids going to that school she wouldn’t even contemplate the idea!
I fell in love with Joncia Gardens from the first day I went there to see where my next wedding venue was going to be as I like to be prepared and not just turn up on the day. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this amazing property and the work the family had put into it and their story behind it. The family have been amazing to work with over the years and it’s been wonderful watching the changes they’ve made especially adding the Rock N Roll room for locals to get together for the love of dance. My heart goes out to Julie and her Mum and Dad and I hope the come to their senses, go back to the drawing board and find alternative land that will not destroy people’s livelihoods and take their homes from them. You should be ashamed of yourself for even contemplating the idea! If this land belonged to our First Nation you wouldn’t dare try and take it away, so why are you trying to take this away?
