We were all caught a little off guard for this one! But I can assure you, once the nerves settled down after the vows and I do's, it was big smiles all round!

We met and planned their special day remotely, yet I felt I had known this sweet couple for a long, long time. We clicked, we gelled, we chatted, we laughed, we planned with many miles between us - and it all came together beautifully. Don't let distance deter you 🩵🤍🩵

Yesterday, I officiated a memorial service for a special woman - a mother, a nan, a friend and colleague - at this little grassy mound. Her very favourite spot on the beach. It could not have been a more beautiful day to celebrate her life. Her gorgeous granddaughter blew bubbles as 'kisses to Nan in heaven'. It was a ceremony full of peaceful and touching moments.

I love an outdoor wedding - and couples do too at this time of the year. But I'm always in a bit of a flat spin because the weather is so unpredictable.

I worry about the bride's hair and makeup and the documents getting wet mainly - that can be disastrous! But I'll do whatever it takes to give them a beautiful ceremony in their chosen location - even if we have to dash to the limo or my car to sign the certificates - with the SUV's boot door up!
