🌼 Celebrating 25 Years of Bumbles Café 🌼
Take a trip down memory lane with us as we celebrate 25 wonderful years of Bumbles Café at beautiful Budds Beach! 🎉
It all started back in 1999 when Kate Madison, our vibrant founder, set her heart on an old convenience store in this serene spot. With a little nudge from her friend Maureen Gardner, who informed her of the property’s sale, Kate knew it was a golden opportunity—and by 2000, Bumbles Café was born! 💛
You may have wondered about the quirky name “Bumbles.” The story is as colourful as Kate herself, involving a love for doodling, a cheeky internet search, and a glass of white wine (or two)! 🍷🐝 Yes, Kate even designed the iconic bee you see in our logo!
From humble beginnings to becoming a local gem, Bumbles has been cherished by guests from all walks of life for its magic—a perfect blend of an idyllic riverside location, incredible food, exceptional service, and the infectious energy of Kate, our colourful, workaholic, zany leader. 🌟
Every detail in Bumbles has a story—from the fresh flowers that brighten every corner (a nod to Kate’s love for all things floral), to the honey that comes straight from the bees in our back yard. 🌸🍯
We especially want to thank our loyal regulars, many of whom have been with us since the very beginning. Your continued love and support over the past 25 years means the world to us! 💖

We’ve made a small change to our hours! Starting next week, we’ll be open from Wednesday to Sunday, 6:30am to 3pm.
For those afternoon and evening cravings, visit next door where we are open Wednesday to Saturday for coffee and cakes from 3pm to 5pm, and dinner from 5pm to 9pm.
We can’t wait to see you soon!
