💥💥 Episode 82 of the SEVENTEENx Podcast is live. In this episode Mick Hase caught up with Social Enterprise legend Matthew Wright-Simon on all things Leadership, Community and Engagement.

Unpacking all things Social Enterprise and Impact we also find out more about his venture and up coming summit New Day Leadership happening soon in Adelaide.

🎙 Dial into the episode via link in bio 👆👆👆

Matthew Wright-Simon has been active in sustainability and regeneration, creative industries, social enterprise, micro philanthropy and leadership development. It’s all part of being a changemaker champion – someone who celebrates the best in people and the great potential we all have to make a positive difference where we work, live and play.

Something that truly celebrates this is Newday Leadership, a unique social enterprise that is devoted to ‘inspired leadership for the greater good’ in the delivery of unique summits and programs. Matthew is co-director, alongside Katrina Webb, Newday’s founder. The annual Newday Summits are truly something special: part wellbeing retreat, part festival and part world-class leadership conference. Their forthcoming Summit on 2 November 2023 in Adelaide is all about Wisdom + Wonder. It’s on track to be another sold-out event (places are capped at 350 people), so get your tickets now! In his work, Matthew supports people to deeply explore problems, articulate engaging stories and to take pragmatic and creative action in their own organisations, communities and networks.

This work through Ecocreative and soon with Engage Change includes strategy and mentoring, leadership development, emceeing and facilitation and hundreds of projects, with recent work in ‘community juries’ helping bring new depth to deliberative decision-making and research in Australia’s health sector.

Live for public viewing from our Members4Good webinar series; our Talk : Climate 13 Panel chat is ready for you to dial in on our SEVENTEENx Youtube channel.

This panel chat is apart of our Members4Good webinar "Talk" series where we bring in a panel of experts to talk about specific SDGs , where we unpack definitions, the challenges we face, and the opportunity moving forward. This episode was all about Climate. SDG 13 - and we invited 3 SEVENTEENx speakers who are experts in differing sectors of the Climate conversation.

This was a really great chat for me, as it helped me understand the Climate challenge we face in simpler terms , and also get my head around some of the "low hanging fruit" that we as a business community need to act on ... and fast.

I was joined by

Dr Vanessa Rauland of ClimateClever

Dr Cassandra Star of Climate and Sustainability Policy Research and Research fellow of University of Sydney

Charlotte Connell Director of Climate Tech Ecosystems Climate Salad

I'd recommend you grab a coffee , some snacks and settle in with this one... SOOO much value from these leaders in Climate.

Our next panel is a real passion of mine as we talk all things Health and Wellness in July on our Members4Good platform. (if you want to join us either yourself or with your team, link to know more about the membership in comments below)

Episode #69 with Anthony Coles from on the SEVENTEENx podcast.

This was a great chat as we hear how Anthony’s personal journey with rapid business growth and success lead him to ask himself questions around purpose and how to balance his own health amongst his career.

Something I think we can all relate to and benefit from his lessons.

Anthony also spoke recently at SEVENTEENx Adelaide sharing more about his model of building intentional partnerships to collaborate for global outcomes and furthering the SDG 2030 agenda.

A super thinker and great connector of values aligned visions for a green economy.
