How I became a Celebrant
At first glance changing from a lifetime in Security Management to Marriage Celebrancy may not appear to be the most obvious of directions, but when you look deeper the Security industry regardless of media and some opinions is all about taking care of people’s welfare A close friend put it to me in 2012 that as a Justice of the Peace would I be able to do her and her amazing fiancés Wedding?, I couldn’t, but it did put me into a train of thought that it would be an area where a person could really do some good and hence commenced the appropriate studies and gained the appropriate qualifications. It must be said that, that conversation has lead me to enjoy any number of Celebrations, including being able to officiate at our own Children’s Weddings, and, in some remarkable locations of which there are many in this part of the world, from the beaches, ‘Broken Head” and ‘Salt Beach” in NSW, the amazing Venues of the ‘Gold Coast” and views of the ‘Tamborine” area, Brisbane City and the Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast and others too numerous to name An added bonus for me has been helping some pretty beautiful people to enjoy one of the most important days of their lives, the significance of which is never lost on myself or any of the staff of any venue that we have held weddings at, Everyone loves a Wedding
