What a way to start the day! What a notification to receive, ticking over the 500+ five-star review mark on ABIA… I had to take a moment with that one 🥰

Every wedding, every ceremony, every couple I’ve had the honour to stand alongside has shaped this. It’s the laughter, the eye-contact, the quiet squeeze of the hand, the “okay, let’s do this” breath before we walk in, that’s what I carry with me.

To every couple who has taken the time to leave a review… truly, thank you. It might seem like a simple online thing, but it’s those reviews that help other couples find me, and it means I get to keep doing what I love, creating a ceremony that feels like you.

It’s an absolute privilege to be part of these days. I don’t take it for granted.

When it came time for the personal vows, I gave my usual little cue:
“Alright Nat and Tyler, it’s vow time.”

Now usually I get a deep breath… maybe a nervous grin… occasionally a tiny “oh no.”

But Nat?
Nat just went “Yay!”
And honestly, it was iconic.

Because vows don’t have to feel intense or serious if that’s not you.
They can be light, warm, a bit funny, a bit real.
They can sound like the way you actually talk to each other on a Tuesday at home.

And the way Tyler looked at her while she read them?
That said everything.

Sometimes couples get to the end of the aisle and have this little moment of “Wait… what do we do now?”
Do we kiss? Do we hug? Do we just stand here and smile and wait for the ceremony to start?

Here’s the truth: you get to do whatever feels right for you.

For Sheri and Travis, this was the moment they had been waiting for. Arriving together after already building a life, two beautiful kids and years of love side by side. It made sense to take a moment and just hold each other.

If you want to take a breath, have a cuddle, squeeze each other’s hands or wipe a happy tear, do it.
There is no rush. No one is going anywhere.
And I’ll always give you the space to take that moment before we begin.

Your ceremony isn’t a performance.
It’s your relationship, your story, and your love showing up as you are. 🤍

"We feel so incredibly lucky to have had Toni as our celebrant and MC on our wedding day. From the very first meeting, Tyson and I instantly clicked with her. We just knew she was the perfect person to guide us through such a special moment in our lives. Her warmth, professionalism, humour and genuine care made the whole experience feel effortless, and her guidance and support throughout the planning process went above and beyond what we could have imagined.

On the day, she made us the happiest people in the world. Every word, every moment, and the way she connected with our guests made our ceremony and celebration so memorable. Want to know something probably a bit lame about me? I LOVE ceremony housekeeping! 📝✨

It might sound like a bit of an odd thing to love, but there’s something so special about those moments right before the walk down the aisle. It’s the little bit of guidance, the gentle reminders, the last-minute adjustments… and sometimes, just sometimes, someone even sheds a tiny tear during the housekeeping because they know it’s about to kick off. 🥹

Those few minutes are full of anticipation, excitement, and love, the calm before the beautiful storm that is the rest of your day, the moment before everything unfolds, it's pure magic 💛

“Toni was honestly amazing. The story she told about us was so well put together and just perfect! Everyone was raving about how well she spoke and the emotion brought to the speech about us. It was like she had known us for years. She was so professional but also made us feel so relaxed and comfortable on the day. We couldn't have asked for a better celebrant. She started the day off to a perfect start with such a warm and welcoming ceremony.”

Whenever someone’s delivering a reading or a few special words during the ceremony, I always like to bring them up with us, right in amongst the action, not tucked off to the side.

This is why 🥰

It instantly feels more connected. You’re part of the moment, not separate from it. You can see the reactions, feel the energy, and share in the emotion right alongside everyone else.

It’s one of those little details that helps the whole ceremony feel more natural, relaxed and genuinely shared, just the way I like it ❤️
