Did you know that professional facepainters should have a one sponge per child usage? If using a sponge on someone's face, it's hard to clean them on the job properly. I use one (or sometimes two) sponges per child and then they go in my mesh washing bag. After the job they are cleaned thoroughly with antibacterial soap and washed. Sponges will look discoloured or stained, which can't be prevented, but they should always be clean.

✨ I will let you in on one of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to using stencils while face painting 👇🏽✨
I believe every facepainter has heard something along the lines of "Oh, you're using stencils, that's easy then" or similiar. Well, let me tell you - it's not 😉
Lots and lots of practice goes into using a stencil properly to get the desired design - is the paint to wet, it will instantly smudge, is it too dry it won't cover the stencil area properly, there's SO much that can go wrong when using a stencil and it's actaully a skill you need to learn, practice and master to be able to pull it off.
I love my stencils for highlights, textures, unicorn horns, shells and many more, but it definitely took me lots of practice to be able to use them properly ✨🌈✨🌈
