Sooooo we just got access to Jasmin And Lachlan’s seriously magical day!
I literally gasped out loud with excitement when I seen the email pop up in my inbox from

All my weddings are very special but this one was seriously special, knowing Jasmin since she was a little girl watching her grow into the beautiful young lady she is today and being ask to be such a special part of one of the most important days of her life was an obvious yes to me!
Jazzy always told me I’d be doing her flowers on her wedding day and she was absolutely true to her word!

Such a stunning day which I cannot wait to share more with but first a little look into their ceremony at followed by a dreamy reception at Bendooley.

These flower stands were a favourite to make playful, meets classic romantic!

Now now we don’t play favourites but….. If we did we’d maybe say weddings like Sarah & Tim’s at the magical full of playful love and colour captured by the incredible would possibly be at the top of the list!
When we get asked to inject a whole lot of colour with soft and bold hues we do a little happy dance because we love colour and watching it all come to life!
We also love love large bold statement ceremony installations that can be repurposed with ease at your reception and become part of your epic dance floor, speech area or even a photo backdrop!
We have very limited dates for weddings next year and at the stage are only opening up select weekends so if you’d like to have us as part of your special please say hello via our website.

We also love working with beautiful soft colour palettes, we just love to have a little moment for colour!!

The Stunning Tamara & Sam
Naturally I’m drawn to colour and burnt orange is one of my favourites!
Incorporating burnt oranges into your flowers can be tricky but there are a few really beautiful options paired with toffee and other colours with hints of orange it really brings out the colour.
We were so lucky that butterfly ranunculus were available the week of Tamara and Sam’s wedding and that they got to have their little moment and that they didn’t fly away with the wind 🦋 🤍🦋

What we created for Chantelle and Tom was beyond romantic, it was everything.
Intentional, thoughtful, romantic, modern impactful florals not over done - just right.
Nestled in the gardens of Wollorgorang, it was seriously devine 🤍
The most stunning floral stands, complimented by a line of aisle florals leading you to the alter that you could see from the second story of the homestead where Chantelle and her girls were getting ready and the boys were suiting up.

Today our beautiful couple Tom and Chantelle sent me the best New Year present and that was the link to their seriously beautiful wedding photos captured by .studio and I seriously cannot pick a favourite.
This wedding was out of this world beautiful on their families private property just outside of Goulburn and not a detail was missed!

So you’re wondering where should you invest your floral budget?
You really really want that ceiling installation but maybe it takes you over you floral budget with the floral centrepieces you wanted on your tables.
Would you like my advice?
Here’s my advice invest in that ceiling installation you won’t regret it but here are some of savvy tips to really using your budget effectively.
1. Invest in the ceiling installation but pair back your tables with simple but beautiful floral bud vases and candles this is a really romantic combo and looks super effective
2. Invest in a really beautiful ceremony installation that can then be repurposed at your reception - for Annie and Jordan we had the most magical floral nest which we then broke into sections and were able to place at the end of her tables and on the fireplace behind the bridal table it worked so well and looked really effective in photos!!
3. Have open conversations with your florists but always remember to be open minded we know how much things costs and the work involved, ingredients required to bring each design to life so sometimes we may need to discuss other alternatives that will still look equally as beautiful but within your floral budget we promise either way you won’t be disappointed!

It’s announcement time, you heard it here first!

Beautiful Eden and I are so lucky to of connected, one day I found her and her husband Matt wandering down our lane way peaking into the flower shed, the next second they’re inside and we are chatting away for the next 2 hours about life and all things - this chance encounter turned in to the most beautiful friendship and now collaborative creative adventure!!
Eden has been hosting yoga in the flower shed this past couple of months and it is the most beautiful wholesome experience that will continue into 2024 so please make sure you’re following along for more details!

But we wanted to let you know about something exciting we have been working on together and to put it out in the universe as the year comes to a close in preparation for next year!
Together will be releasing a series of really beautiful, wholesome creative workshops together in 2024!

🌺 Think paint and sip with a twist- in this experience I will be arranging a beautiful floral vase arrangement which we will then talk you through the elements of design, placements and guide you through a really beautiful painting experience - we are hoping our first release for this event will be the 12th and 13th of January(stay tuned)
🌺Botanical dyeing - This workshop not only celebrates creativity but also promotes a sustainable approach to botanical arts. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how to honor and reuse natural resources in their creative endeavors.
🌺Mindful creativeness using other mediums - we have so many ideas and we thought we need to share this with you.
🌺These workshops will be paired with beautiful organic wines, produce and mindful conversations about the art you will be creating.

This truely is what the flower shed is for making art, mindfulness, creativity, conversations with friends and discovery of your inner creative self!
Alongside beautiful weddings of course!

Mona Farm in the Autumn is my favourite the colour of the skies, the multi coloured foliages, the smell of the fire pits ready to warm you up, the thought of red wine and the most delicious canapés.
The cosy accomodation, the artwork and sculptures and the most romantic setting for both your ceremony and reception!
Paired with our autumnal florals and styling it’s absolute perfection!
Another favourite of mine is the adorable highland cows and clearly they make for a pretty special photo!

Recently we did a really fun photoshoot followed by an epic event at with our friends .au, and our new friends .cat.cocktails and got some pretty incredible shots so I thought I would take advantage and share some of myself Dani doing what I love playing with beautiful, colourful, bold florals alongside other super talented vendors and designing large scale, high attention to detail floral designs!

🌺Fun fact She Follows Floral Design was created in 2016 and I still use the same business card my cousin created for me and honestly I think it one of the best I’ve seen!

SFFD has grown a lot since then as has my team and scale of weddings and events we work on but I still believe it’s timeless design reflects my business so well.

Modern, sophisticated, romantic florals with an edgy flare and a high attention to detail but as a creative artist we/ I also like to have fun along the way!

🌺Another fun fact it took me a very long time to call myself an artist and to come to terms with the fact I’m artist, that’s what florists do we create art with our medium flowers!

The flower shed is full of beautiful flowers this morning as we get ready for a super fun little corporate event today and a beautiful wedding this weekend!
Each weekend over spring we have a seriously beautiful wedding or event each different and magical in their own unique way!

We can’t wait to share this season with you!!

If your getting married in 2024 we’d love to hear from you!
We have a super simple system and try keep our process as easy but as personal as possible:

1st. All you need to do is fill out our contact form via the link in our bio or on our website by doing this you allow us to understand a little more about your day and we are able to draft a quote based on that information

2nd. If we are available we will send through a link to book in your bridal consultation where we will prepare and go through your draft quote, all the finer little details and make sure we get it just right before sending your official quote

3rd. After your bridal consultation we will send through your formal quote and wait for it to hit your inbox

4th. We will wait in anticipation to hear from you and for you to approve your quote when you do we will do a little happy dance and thank you very much for trusting us with such an important element of your day!!

5th. We will send you a beautiful email with your deposit details and by paying this you have said 100% yea let’s go!!

And together we will be in communication sharing details, answering any questions you may have, mood-boards, timelines ect until your day arrives and we create a little magic with flowers for you!!!

Come play in the flower shed this Summer/Christmas, an evening full of summer air, playful creativeness, laughter and learning while enjoying a delicious grazing board and bubbles on arrival!

With over 7 years experience in the floristry industry, Dani would love to take you on your own floral journey and teach you how to design and curate your very own Christmas Wreath.
I look forward to teaching you the basics of designing and creating your very own Christmas wreath to place on your door or gift to someone else this Christmas!
You will be designing on a beautiful woven wooden hoop like the one pictured in this image (this hoop is also reusable so you can bring it back next year)!
You will be working with beautiful fresh natives that will dry out perfectly over the festive season!
During this class you will also learn the basics of flower care and preparation, the mechanics behind making a wreath which you can also use to make a flower crown and other creative pieces.

Enjoy cheese and bickies and a glass of bubbles on arrival!

All you need to do is grab your friend/family member or just yourself, purchase your ticket and arrive on time!
We’ll take care of the rest!!

This is the perfect way to start your work Christmas party and the festive season!
