Meet the Chef of 'The Chef, The Baker & The Winemaker'
Jody started her career as a 15 year old apprentice chef in Warrnambool. After years of cooking in Warrnambool, Jody decided to broaden her skills and moved to Hamilton Island. Here she had the opportunity to work across many kitchens in large kitchen brigades, learning many different cuisines and large cooperate event functions. From here, she went to Ayers Rock Resort. Here was another opportunity to see many different kitchens and also to be part of the widely esteemed "Sounds of Silence" dinners.
Then there were some years in Brisbane, where Jody headed up a small catering business and was an integral part to its growth. She helped to bring this business into a preferred caterer for the Premiers office as well as catering for Gold Class across Brisbane. Moving back home to Melbourne to begin a family, she worked as Head Chef in an extremely busy Camberwell Cafe that continued to grow.
With three small children in Melbourne, a tree change was in order to raise her children in a rural setting which saw her in Ararat. She has spent the past 15 here working while raising a family. She was also privileged enough to have spent a couple of years working casually (as child commitments allowed) at the Royal Mail Hotel in Dunkeld. It was here, that Jody's passion for real food came from.
Jody could see there was a market in our area, for good, real food and from this came Jody & Co Catering .
What began in covid, has grown considerably to now be a very busy and sort after caterer - Jody & Co Catering.
Jody will be serving tasty Street food on the night alongside Great Western Granary sourdough pizza and Miners Ridge Vineyardlocal wines.
