Cake is a fabulous way to add your signature style to your wedding or event……………Anyone remember the days when a sliver of fruit cake would be bagged up and placed under your pillow for good luck ?

Times have changed and these days cakes can be embellished with personal touches that tie in with your styling or make a personal statement, they can be classical or a little crazy.

Here at Nether hill farm , cake is often part of the dessert offering , used exclusively or added to a dessert bar.

Nothing quite says ‘just married,’ like a confetti toss. That iconic moment when everyone you love grabs a handful of confetti as you make your way down the aisle .

Here are a few tips to capture the moment perfectly;

1. Inform your guests - the ideal confetti toss is high, rather than directly to to the face. Your celebrant might be to able to suggests this to guests.

2. Discuss with your photographer how you’d like this moment captured with the setting in mind.

3. There are so many fun confetti options. We love biodegradable choices including petals but not rice.

4. Choose the right colour mix . Lighter colours will stand out against a darker backdrop and vice versa.

For a few weeks in late winter and early spring, camellia petals create a carpet of confetti on the front lawn. It’s the perfect spot for bridal photos. did just that, capturing a magic moment with and ….holding blooms courtesy just delicious.

“Hi, I’m Bunty. I’m resident doggo . I love swims in the damn, a run down to the back paddock and after a busy day , a cuddle in front of the fire.

I’m desperate to meet you too…… but apparently my manners are not quite up to it. (Insert sad puppy dog eyes)!

I’m trying really hard not to jump up when you visit but weddings are just so exciting aren’t they?
