When the flowers match your shoes.
Posy of the week with chunky Protea. Lasting, locally grown - a winner.
TIP OF THE WEEK - THE PERFECT VASE
Picking the right vase can make a difference to your flowers. This ceramic vase is great because it has a bit of weight to it and a good shape so the flowers sit well without having to chock it full of blooms.

Cheery for the dreary weather. Grab some flowers today.
Having fun with flowers and trying a mini version of one of designs.
How cute would this Hyacinth bow be for a flower girl's hair?
💦 TIP OF THE WEEK - Keep it clean 💦 !
Leaves in water – yuck! - Leaves in the water not only look messy but make the water dirty and encourage bacteria which is the enemy of long lasting flowers.
Clean off the foliage and let the stems be free.

Tip of the week - Keep your Hyacinths looking gorgeous!
Hyacinth has hollow stems and big, fat, flowery heads.
As the flowers come out the stems can bend or even snap with the weight, so we can help them along by threading a wire or skewer up the hollow stem, being careful not to puncture the outer stem.

Honesty for this week's posy of the week.
Enjoy.
Oops, nearly forgot again! Shall we call it the midweek posy of the week? Or even citrus surprise.
Tip of the week - Getting the most from your wedding flowers 💐
It’s a great idea to re-purpose ceremony flowers to the reception.
Some flower arrangements can be made for multi-purpose use such as the arrangement from your signing table would be a great fit for the bar or a coffee table in your conversation area at the reception.
Flower arrangements from the entrance to your aisle may work really well at the entrance to the reception venue.

TIP OF THE WEEK: How to stop the "cabbage" smell!
The Ornamental Kale in in season over the cooler months and as the mane suggests it is a member of the cabbage family, this means that the water can get that “cabbage” smell so make sure that you change the water frequently to stop that happening.

🪴 TIP OF THE WEEK: Plastic Pots 🪴
Plastic plant pots and decorative pots rarely match up size wise, have you noticed that? If your decorative pot has a whole in the bottom plant your plant in it and they will look like they belong together!

Well, the Proteas have certainly hit their stride! Look at the amazing varieties, all locally grown.
Beautiful, fresh, lasting come in and grab some today to brighten up these very fresh mornings brrrrrrrrr
Help us support our fabulous local growers and make someone's day.
Tip: Don't forget to take the leaves off as they age and go black and let those flowers shine.
🌱 Tip of the week - Orchid plant care 🌱
Aerial roots on Orchid plants actually draw moisture from the air so don’t trim off those strange tendrils poking out – your Orchid needs them. Leave them be, trim the flower head when it’s finished and enjoy your leaves until it flowers again!

🪴 Tip of the week - Terracotta Pots 🪴 Terracotta pots can be very dry when you bring them home so soak them in a bucket of water until the bubbles disappear that way when you water the plant the pot is not soaking up all the water. Tip of the week - how to best look after your flowers in the warm weather. Especially in this warm weather, keep your flowers in a cool spot, not in front of a sunny window, and definitely not sitting in a hot car! #keepyourflowersfresh #hamiltonflorist #grampiansflowers #tipiftheweek
Tip of the week - looking after your flowers in the heat In this warm weather it is a great idea to wet pack your flowers to keep the stems moist until they get into water. And of course, re-cut the stems when placing in water. Be sure to take the wet packing off when placing in water. Although this method will help to keep the flowers hydrated for a couple of hours or so, it is not an overnight solution they will need to go in water. #tipoftheweek #helpingflowerslastlonger #wetpacking
TIP OF THE WEEK - How to dry your Strawflowers Strawflowers are in season now and they dry well. Because they have soft stems, they do need to be hung upside down to keep the flower heads from flopping.
