Always looking for something new and different to photograph so today we had a bit of fun chasing a BMX rider around the bike park. Truly an athlete as to continually perform the manoeuvres and tricks to photograph without creating carnage for themselves and the photographers takes great skill, Here is a sample of what we got.

Its been a great and varied weekend of photography.
The usual sports, delivery of team photos and photographing some BigV basketball games then today we were able to play in the studio with our gorgeous model Andrea. Thanks Powell Photography for organising yet again and Em Mrietta on Hair & Makeup.

So today we went back in time. the 1920's where glamour was the norm. Thanks again to Julie Powell Photography for another great workshop, and the gorgeous Emily & Andrea for being great models. Yes the fringe is straight in the photos.

Well Day 3 of Under 23 Mens Nationals and the weather is still trying to put a dampener on the event. So todays mixed bag contained sunshine, rain an arctic blast of wind all topped off with a little bit of Hail. Yes we got very wet and were rugged up for the ice weather although we still spotted a few crazy supporters in shorts, but the faces were still smiling (mostly) throughout the games. Wow what a crazy day of mens softball national championship. Playing in what felt like gale force winds producing so much dust you that you could hardly see what was going on. If that wasn't bad enough the heavens opened up with a deluge of rain to ensure that we were soaked through. Believe it or not softball is a summer sport (don't tell anyone).

Well here we are at the start of 2023. What does it have in store for us? Last year we saw a return to some sort of normality in sports so we finally got a chance to get out and photograph teams and the action of sports games. This year we want to be bigger and better. We are embarking on some personal projects that will enhance our skills to produce even better images for our clients. New sports, new concepts a whole new level. Today Was Rugby League Gala Day at Doveton Steelers Rugby League Club Inc
WE needed thermals to start the day in the fog and sunscreen as the day went on. A great way to end the season for some and on to the Grand final for others. Congratulations to Doveton Steelers U15 for the hard fought win against Truganina Rabbitohs Rugby League Club . Here is a quick selection of photos from U15's. More to follow tomorrow
Game two for the day was Truganina Rabbitohs Rugby League Club and Northern Thunder a fight for the first spot in the Grand final. Wow what a game scores were even at full time. Extra time saw Northern Thunder squeak across the line for the win.

A day with a bit of difference, Trying my hand at some junior rugby action. U15 boys some who are built like tanks!! Great to watch. Another weekend of photography and learning. Just for fun
At Change of Focus we are always up for learning new things. From photography workshops to business retreats. Here is a couple of photos from a recent workshop with Julie Powell Photography. It may look like fun (because it is) but its also about learning new techniques.
Day 3: And that's a wrap for another fantastic Masters tournament. The bodies are tired and a few broken But those still standing at the end were still smiling. Some great finals games played with everyone giving it their all. Thanks for the laughs everyone. My job is done till next year when the bats and gloves will be dusted off to go round again. Good luck getting out of bed tomorrow !!!

Day 2: The bodies are creaking and groaning and remembering why its called masters, the smell of liniment fills the air along with lots of strapping tape, but still they play on. After missing out on Masters softball for the past 2 years it is finally back. The laughter the smiles and the common phrase, I would have made that......10 years ago.
