What a magical night! 🐰✨ Thanks to everyone who joined us earlier this month for Born in a Taxi's Velveteen Rabbit at The Memo Healesville!

Families were invited to bring their own special toys as VIP guests, and one lucky family even brought along a lovingly restored 30-year-old Velveteen Rabbit!

The show was a delightful blend of physical comedy, audience interaction, and stunning visuals. Far from a traditional theatre experience, Velveteen Rabbit turned expectations on their head, taking audiences on a whirlwind journey of excitement, laughter, tenderness, and chaos.

At its core, the performance explored themes of love, belonging, and self-discovery. It’s a story about a toy that becomes fully themselves through the love of another, a powerful message for children and adults alike.

On Saturday, September 7th, The Memo Healesville was abuzz with excitement as the Teeny Tiny Stevies took the stage for their Twice the Love Tour.

The packed venue was filled with young and young-at-heart fans who sang along to the band's catchy tunes, including "I Ate A Rainbow" and "I'm The Boss of My Own Body." Not only are their songs fun to listen and sing along to, many have been brought to life visually through charming, animated music videos on ABC Kids.

Following the performance, Byll and Beth graciously made their way into the foyer, where they delighted everyone with meet-and-greets and photo opportunities capturing the magic of the day!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for this feel-good performance.

Last weekend The Memo Healesville was transformed into a realm of enchantment as the Victorian State Ballet graced its stage with two sold-out performances of Swan Lake.

A spectacular display of 36 dancers, traditional choreography, and Tchaikovsky's timeless score captivated audiences of all ages. The performance, culminating in the breathtaking 32 fouettés of the Black Swan, ignited enthusiastic applause.

Following each show, the dancers generously mingled with the audience in the foyer, delighting patrons by posing for photographs and answering any questions.

This is a show where the toys are in charge on stage and your own special guest toy is a VIP.

The toys are making a film and the audience are the extras. Layered with live video projections, Melbourne theatre company Born in a Taxi, thoughtfully and hilariously reimagines this 100 year old children’s story by Margery Williams.

A must-see for families and anyone who has ever cherished a beloved toy!
