Fresh paddocks, fresh excitement!
Today, our new mums are moving into a new lush paddock.
There’s plenty of joy (and a bit of confusion!) as they settle in and sort out who belongs to who. It’s all part of the magic of life on the farm!

We are excited to share that several pairs of endangered Gang-Gang Cockatoos have made Scribbly Farm their home.

We are proud to provide a sanctuary for these iconic Australian cockatoos and play a small part in their conservation journey.

The name “Gang-Gang” originates from an Aboriginal language, likely inspired by their distinctive call. These remarkable birds are monogamous, forming lifelong bonds.

Spotted one of our stunning native residents today, a Blue Tongue Lizard.
These beautiful creatures play a vital role in our ecosystem, feasting on bugs and snails.

Their striking blue tongues, are a unique defense mechanism: if their excellent camouflage doesn’t fool predators like kookaburras, snakes, or eagles, they flash their vibrant tongue to startle and distract.

Exciting news at Scribbly Farm!
Our bull, Dougal, has welcomed his first calves. The first little one was up and running after Mum within an hour—a strong start!

Number two had a bit of a dramatic start, born on the edge of the dam with Mum taking a tumble down the bank straight after giving birth. It was a stressful half-hour, but both are now up and doing well.

We are now waiting for the next four arrivals—our guess is at least one more overnight!

Then comes the fun part: the christenings!
