Samford Equestrian Group are delighted to welcome EA COACH OF THE MONTH (Feb 2022) Clem Smith, EA Level 1 General Coach to our grounds 🤩
This clinic is designed to cater for all levels, and there are a combination of shared and private classes to select from. Spots are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. This is for SEG Members only and the clinic will be held on our grass arena.
As always, events like these can't happen without the support of club members helping out with set up and pack down. Set up will be 7.30am before the first class (so if you're riding in that one, please arrive early to help set up), and pack up will be from 3.30pm after the last class (so if you're riding in that one, please arrange to hang around to pack up). Many hands make light work 🥰
And just a reminder - waiver form to be signed, EA Rules and helmet tagging are compulsory 😉

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT:

Hi SEG Members

Our AGM is only 1 week away, we are still in urgent need of members to offer their time, passion, and skills to help the club in 2024.

While you may feel worried that you don’t have the time to do a great job, please be sure that every little bit helps. Each coordinator role has a sub-committee to help them through the year.

Members of sub-committees also get benefits for their help throughout the year, so maybe that is the right job for you.

So, if you want to help in anyway either as the Coordinator or as a volunteer in the sub-committees please email the Secretary to register your interest.

We are looking forward to a great 2024, but we need all the help we can get.

Regards

Richard Scott
President
Samford Equestrian Group

SEG is excited to present Nicole Magoffin Clinic, open to our SEG members. Open now on Nominate.

Thursday 19th October

Nicole teaches with a sympathetic and kind approach to both horses and riders while still acheiving results. Her methods are strongly based on the training scale and result in producing soft, supple and rideable horses.

Having worked alongside Jonah Oliver (leading sports psychologist) she also encompasses great techniques for people who struggle with nerves both riding at home and out at competitions.

Recently travelling back and forth to Germany riding the beautiful Jaybee Ryana and training with Lietje Schueler, she has also spent quality time in the USA training with Steffen Peters on her previous Grand Prix horse Jabee Anzac.
Nicole has an obvious love for coaching and promotes an inclusive community spirit amongst her students so you feel part of a team. Be part of a team who believe in loving horses while training them.

Fantastic desensitisation Obstacle clinic at SEG today. Thanks to those riders who helped set up and pack up- We can’t do this without you! This time of the year the committee are becoming exhausted.…
Very special thanks to Kath from Mini All-Stars Horsemanship Your passion and guidance for helping riders to read their horses body language is fabulous.
Thanks to Lindy @ Colourama Gear - Working Equitation Equipment for our new permanent Obstacles that we were able to purchase from the last clinic profits.
We also ran working equitation training and a clinic for the newbies- thanks to our instructors. We wish the SEG WE competitors riding at The State Comp in 2 weeks all the very best. You have made us proud already just entering and we look forward to hearing all your results. It’s exciting how quickly this new discipline has grown in Qld.
