And one of the tunes from the four older students at The Kenish Harp Combo concert. They played so well for their very first week of learning to play the harp.
The Inaugral school holiday workshops held by the FFT subgroup Kentish Harp Combo were held in the mornings this week. The whole group learned 4 tunes and the four older students learnt an extra 4 tunes, so 8 in total. The melodies were taught on the harp and the accompaniment chords and strumming patterns on the Ukes. These were all performed at a concert on Friday lunchtime in Sheffield to a very supportive audience from the local community including parents and friends.
The students worked really hard and it was fab to see them so focussed and soaking up the music. Getting the students into a comfortable position holding the harp was a bit tricky.
This was the first tune learned by the whole group.
Warm up for tomorrow nights concert at Fern Tree Tavern 💃😊
