What a day! Setting up in this heat wave was exhausting and very time consuming! I managed to successfully set up a beautiful reception for my couple’s 79 guests.

This beautiful couple were my first proposal clients 🤍

With it being my first, I got down to the coast early (even though I had my park permit, there was no guarantee I’d get the rotunda which was our plan). So just before 8am, I pull up and it’s free 🙌🏼 I started unloading ASAP!

I had a minor mishap with my arch (a few colourful words were said) as I didn’t have it secured properly at first…it fell over onto my picnic table (thank goodness those florals weren’t placed yet)! It did break one of my rose gold vases though 😣 So instead of using the four as planned, I used two (everything symmetrical).

Once finished, I literally waited 1.5hrs in my car (keeping an eye on everything) with the proposal due to happen around 12noon.

All in all, it was a perfect proposal for a perfect couple.

Side note: I did get a speeding fine 😬😳 oops!

This is definitely going to be a jam packed day! Here’s your guide to what’s happening throughout the day.

All entrants that would like to be judged must be parked and registered by no later than 8.30am. Any entrants that wish to park on the peninsula are advised to arrive early and must stay all day.

Pre entries close 8pm Monday 1 October so enter now to avoid registering on the day.

Ok, so lately I’ve been seeing a lot of couples saying that their vendor has cancelled on them. The ones I’m talking about are ones that have transferred money and their vendor has stopped communication altogether with only a short amount of time until their wedding day.

Let’s talk about this…
When searching a vendor, here’s some easy tips to follow. Do they have the following?
- an ABN
- a registered business (through ASIC e.g.)
- an up to date website
- social media accounts (and active on them)
- current email and/or phone number
- full T&Cs
- contract/s
- INSURANCES

I understand some couples wanting a cost effective wedding (I get it), but please keep in mind that you could end up paying a lot more if you go with a ‘dodgy’ vendor to begin with. Some of these ‘vendors’ don’t have one or more of the above.
