HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I apologise for being a little absent the last 2 weeks. Unfortunately have been going through some personal stuff that has really messed with my mental health. MYTH! I have had this said to me quite often. Whilst mobile phone camera technology has moved forward in leaps and bounds, there is still no comparison to a full frame DSLR camera. One of the biggest differences is control. In manual settings, our cameras give us the absolute control to tell the story of how we want our image to appear. They provide us with complete manual control over shutter speed, ISO, and so much more. This empowers us to express our creativity and capture images in all sorts of situations. Another huge difference is lens versatility. This opens up a universe of creative possibilities! Of course last but not least, the sensor! It's just not true that the quality of mobile phone photos is on par with DSLR's. Larger sensors equals more pixels and more sensitivity to light, better colours and just more information captured in every shot. Cameras give me the amazing ability to choose settings and lenses, to be able to tell the story and create work that I can be proud of. In saying that, don't ever stop taking photos! Capture every moment of life whether it be on your phone or a little point and shoot camera. All these memories are so worth having! x
