It is likely your child may become overwhelmed during their party! That's ok and totally understandable. I thought it would be useful to share this party tip!
As parents we want to provide an exciting wonderland for our children to keep them happy and occupied on their special day, but very quickly children can become overstimulated with too much happening,too many people and too much noise.
My tip.... is to provide a quieter chill area so that children have somewhere to take a break.
This can have cuddly or sensory toys, books, dim lighting, pillows and can tie in with your theme.
Depending on numbers you could have 2 areas or just a separate room that is for quiet time. I have noticed that often children end up in quieter areas at parties especially younger ones.
Children also like space and to run around too so no need to cram activities and toys in one area. If you have a small space, less is best. If you have an entertainer you don't need too much else going on during the visit but the quiet area is still a great idea.
Also if you know your child is quieter or can become overwhelmed easily. You can even book your entertainer to arrive a few minutes before the party starts, to have a special one on one meet with the birthday child if you are having a special character visit!! Then have photos while it's calmer.
We always make sure the birthday child gets some quality time with our entertainers even if it is busy.
1 or 2 activities or toy boxes are plenty if you are wanting to give children choices. Hide the noisy toys and keep a quiet area away from the main party area 😉
