As a small family business we have absolutely loved doing our bit trying to help support this amazing non for profit organisation TIACS. This crew are absolute legends of you are ever in a place of need give TIACS a call or text on 0488 846 988.

Taylor Homestead another grass roots family run business proudly supporting TIACS ❀️

Samsiah and Daniel Taylor are potato farmers from the south west of WA in an area called Kaloorup. They grow approximately 4000 tonnes of potatoes a year for the WA fresh market.

As farming is becoming extremely stressful they have diversified their operation into a wedding venue/function centre, planted hops and trialling industrial h**p thats used to build houses and make clothing and dog bedding.

Five years ago they grew their whole wedding venue amongst an abundance of sunflowers. They grow 5 acres every year. This year they decided to open up their sunflower patch to the public. So with selling freshly cut flowers and freshly dug potatoes along with a small entry fee Taylor Homestead raised $5000 for TIACS.

These Legends of TIACS with the monies raised will help support over 55 hours of free counselling to those that need it most.

Exciting times ahead. Plans are in, engineers reports completed, fire plans completed. We are just waiting on a few final things and we can hopefully get the ball rolling on our new ablution blocks 😍

We are hoping to get onto the inside of the venue over the next few weeks. We have been a little slower off the mark then we had hoped, but we had some unfortunate events occur with an immediate family member so that has been our main priority the last 7 weeks and will continue to be our priority over the next few months.

However we are excited to slowly start updating you as our homestead very slowly comes to life.

Cutting the industrial h**p on farm. It will now dry out for about 4 weeks and then it will be bailed and the put through a decorticator and crushed then it will be made into h**pcrete and used to build houses locally in the area.

This old hive was on the farm when we purchased it in March 2021. We were told someone put it there and never came back. Finally we have got to the point of being able to have some time to try and transfer it to a new hive. The inside of the old one was a complete mess. Hopefully we can save it and give these amazing little bees 🐝 a new home.

welcome to the Taylor Homestead. We are so excited to invite you to follow along on our exciting new journey on our new farm.
