It is always hard saying goodbye to a loved one today as I prepared to deliver another fond farewell for a much loved mother 👩 I was also organising a cremation for my own step-mum who had passed way last Friday😢 As Celebrants and Funeral Directors in our industry we need to some times put our own feelings to the side. Today I shared a beautiful poem penned by the wonderful Robyn O’Connell titled “There is a Place” it was a poem the family appreciated and I have to admit it gave me a lot of comfort also🙏😇🙏

Christmas is that time of year when everything is a Celebration 🥰 for many it can be a sad time of the year also 😢
In 1996 I learnt this the hard way when my mother passed and we had her funeral on Christmas Eve 😢🙏🏼
Today we as a family say farewell to another treasured member of our family.⭐️ My little step mum Phyllis finally held out her hand to the angels 😇 and went to dance amongst the stars ✨

Today I had the honour to help another, family say a mean-full farewell to a much loved mother, nanny, and great nanny to her family. As I introduced the slide show it was such pleasure to announce that the accompanying song 🎶 was written by her grandson just for todays service 🥰 He called his song 🎶 “Keepsakes” it told the story of their relationship how all his memories are his keepsakes that he will never let go 🥰
Every time I help someone say goodbye I am always blown away with the stories the memories and tributes the family come up with 🙏🥰🙏

Everyday I wear many hats 👒 As a busy Funeral Celebrant, a wife, mother, mother-on-law, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunty, step-daughter, Published Author, Committee member, friend to many. I sometimes forget to be my own best friend😢 Oh and almost forgot fur mum and fur Granma 😂
When my life goes into high stress mode I crave chocolate 🍫 which is high in magnesium great for my fibromyalgia however most are filled with of sugar😢 So I use Nature’s Way Cacao this morning I added it to my protein shake 🫨 along with a banana some low fat vanilla yoghurt raspberries and strawberries. 🍓

Hanging not long finished helping a family say Farewell in a meaningful and beautiful service 🥰🙏🥰
I thought I would stop to look after me with a cuppa and Turkish bread toastie before hitting the grocery shop for the weeks food 🍱 otherwise I would end up with a lot of yummy sugary things that I don’t need 🥰
