Failure, learning, friendship, misery, exhilaration.
Each day, each moment even, is a tiny shard of glass in this beautiful, confusing creation.
2023 will be another mosaic to add to your wall of art.
A wall that shows the life, you are continuously gifted.
A wall that shows you are human.
A wall of survival.
I wish you many broken pieces of glass this year, my friend .
Because this is living.
And before you march on in to another year of ‘everything’, pause to look back, at the work you have created thus far.

What’s missing from this picture? (Hint: 🎤)

In my mind, there’s nothing worse than a hand-held microphone being passed around at a ceremony. For a number of reasons:

1️⃣ I’ve seen too many of my client’s beautiful wedding photos ruined by a tacky hand-held microphone being held front and centre.

2️⃣ Microphones suddenly remind my couples of all their public speaking fears - they’re suddenly reminded that they’re standing in front of their friends and family, reciting vows or speaking from the heart. And for many, that thought it terrifying!

In my mind, there is already enough stress in the minds of my couples on their big day - the last thing they need is extra anxiety piled on top of them with a microphone, juggling rings and vows…

My preference is a hands-free headset for me (subtle, perfect for photos! 👌) and lapel mics for the couple.

This allows them to stay in the moment, making their love for each other known as effortless as possible.

No stage fright required. 😉
