These two lovebirds are your walking breathing proof that our booking terms are incredibly flexible! Originally booked to be wed in 2022, life, babies, work, health, etc, things just got in the way.

They kept coming for camping trips and planning and organising for almost three years and finally this year, Jolda and Jayden, practically family at this stage, tied the knot in a PERFECT wedding!

Your wedding day should be the best day of your life, not the most stressful. If you book your wedding and need to change the date for any reason, as long as you give us reasonable notice, we’ll let you change it as many times as you need to with no weird “admin fees”- what even is that? 😂

There’s a whole range of reasons why you might consider eloping. Planning a wedding is stressful and expensive and if you’re not a big party person or don’t love being the centre of attention, or are just feeling overwhelmed at even the thought of having both sides of your family in the same place at once - we understand.

If you want to “just get married” we have so many dates this year available in which you can do just that. For $1000+ GST, Our wedding organiser Carmen will help you every step of the way (not that there will be many) and set up and pack down the peninsular for you, you just need to arrive at the same time as your celebrant and say the magic words.

You and your two witnesses can then wander the grounds for photos and check in to your luxury treetop cabins for the night. We’ll even throw in a bottle of bubbly.

Our on site cafe can even cater a dinner for you - completely taking any stress out of the day at all.

If you were to call a celebrant like or and start the official paperwork today, you could be marrying the love of your life this time next month.

This special is half the price you would normally pay and is only valid for weddings booked for this year: 2024. Exact cabins provided will depend on availability but will be either Sun Suite or Treehouses (we’re happy to provide a different cabin to suit your needs- family or accessible rooms are available).

Last year we were so privileged to be able to host this beautiful destination wedding.

These lovers and 4 family members each came all the way from Japan, stayed in our beautiful jungle cabins, and tied the knot on the peninsula. A private chef came and cooked the 10 of them (and two bubbies) a scrummy 3-course meal at the saloon in a super intimate dinner setting. A local florist supplied the stunning arrangements, a local beautician did hair and makeup.

All of this was possible because they hired hero ReikoSan. We worked with Reiko for months to organise a venue and accomodation package and to lock down the perfect vendors. The couple and their families simply stepped off a plane and into their wedding.

If you’re one of those people who want a beautiful wedding but don’t need 100 of your mates and distant relatives to be there, you can still have it at a large venue like the Billabong. POV: after months of stress, planning, budgeting, unwarranted opinions and the odd tear, you’re walking down the aisle toward your person and they’re looking at you like this! 😍

Manon & Shane… we don’t have words. You perfectly embodied the saying “all that matters is we have each other” and had the perfect wedding day. Nothing gets me tearing up like seeing that look on our couples faces and you two held that look ALL NIGHT LONG.

Our last wedding for the year is tomorrow 😱

We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our 2023 couples for allowing us to be a part of their special day.

This year has been crazy (in all the best ways). We’ve had 3 fireworks displays, 2 champagne cork injuries, welcomed 14 brand new vendors to our venue, 6 whole pigs on spits, 2 jumping castles, 1 mechanical bull, 1 on-site tattoo artist, 1 occasion where the dance floor was blessed by a rather large and completely harmless snake (which was quickly whisked away and returned to the jungle), zero inter-familial fights, we’ve restrung almost 500m of fairy lights and “lost” about a hundred glasses from the bar 😅

We also have a strange compilation of lost property if anybody if missing: 6 single left shoes and 2 single right shoes -various styles and sizes, none matching, 3 completely different brown leather men’s suspenders, one veil, a plastic lizard, half a cake knife (🤷🏻‍♀️) and two reallllllyyyy ugly yellow towells.

2024 is looking like it’s going to be a similar ride..
And we can’t wait!

On that note though, 2024 dates are very quickly booking out. We still have a few prime dry season weekends available so if you’re considering the Billabong for your wedding next year, please get in touch with Carmen as soon as possible so she can show you around and help you secure a date (before our booking fees go up in January).

We find more often than not the couples who get married here are not as worried about the formalities and traditions of a wedding and really just want to have fun with their favorite people, celebrating their love.

Our venue speaks for itself for style and design. The owner of the property raised his family here so the land has been imbibed with live from the beginning, and every member of our team lives on site and makes having fun an absolute priority.

We love to witness our guests (and their guests) relaxing and having fun at The Billabong - it’s why by the end of your wedding we always feel like we’ve definitely become a part of your family for the night.

Had to step away from today’s gorgeous ceremony to sort out the makeup running down our faces and discovered this beauty from from earlier this year.

We also sobbed all through that one too…

When you first come by to meet our wedding consultant Carmen and check out the venue she’s going to have some vendor advice.

How much bump-in and set up time will you need, and do you even want to design and set up by yourself? There are wedding planners and furniture hires and florists to consider.

What kind of vibe are you imagining on the night? Gone are the days where every single wedding is a sit down event and the right food truck coupled with our fairy lights is spot on for a laid back rustic night filled with laughter and dancing. If your Pinterest board is filled with intricate table decorations and a three course spread, there’s caterers and private chefs for just about every style of cuisine imaginable to sort through.

Wedding photographers? They’re all amazing. Seriously, they wouldn’t be in that job if they weren’t. But just like all the other considerations for your day, they’re each offering a vastly different product. Scroll through you venue’s instagram page and you’ll see: there’s the moody fairytale vibe, the bright sunshiney vibe, the rustic, the classic, the colourful, the elegant, the list goes on.

Find a set of photos that fits you and your partner’s idea of what your wedding day looks like and give that photographer a call! (If the photographer is ever not tagged, just drop a comment and we’ll rectify this: we try our hardest but sometimes we get a little trigger happy with the “post” button.) If that photographer isn’t available on your day, they can probably point you to another photographer with a similar style.

The Littles went with .and.lace.photography for their wedding earlier this year and we think they absolutely nailed it!

Last weekend was such a cool wedding.

Blake and Lily organized the rough outline for their wedding and then about a thousand mates showed up from all over the world and put the whole thing together! It was stunning, both to look at and to be a part of. 😍

You kids are super special and adorable and we’re all pretty stoked to have 100 new mates as a result of being a part by of your wedding day.

Introducing the latest cabin to the property - “Sun Suite”.

With the working title of “Honeymoon Suite” you get the idea of it’s intention.

After your vows, the tears, the hugs, the laughter and all of that dancing, head up to your own private slice of paradise in the rainforest. Unwind with your love in the enormous bathtub overlooking the scene of the best day of your lives and wake up to the birds in the jungle surrounding you.
