caught me “loving”the crowd as we awaited the bride … the 15 years I’ve been doing this gig have deepened the lines and carvings on my face, silvered my hair and thickened my waist , BUT… they have also allowed me to fully relax into the moment, go with the flow, celebrate all the little hiccups, challenges, weather upsets, emotional ranges and generally all the dramas that being human may present while remaining calm and content. 15 years ago I officiated my very first wedding. ⁣
⁣
A young doctor beginning his practice in our little town married another young doctor. They settled, began their family and are still an integral part of the local community. ⁣
⁣
Today I married two, gentle, kind folks on a cliff overlooking the sea. Their extended family and community, including three of my past couples, gathered in love, support and gladness . There was a comforting, relaxed, calm vibe surrounding us. Almost like an extended out breath resulting in a smile. ⁣
⁣
I thought I may have been past presenting “epic” weddings but today’s ceremony still captured the delightful intimacy of yesterday’s “tiny” ceremony. A lovely surprise! ⁣

So, here I am celebrating my 15 year Celebrant anniversary feeling content and grateful.⁣
⁣

The power, nourishment and energy of sitting in circle was reinforced recently as I sat with women last week in a monthly moon circle and again yesterday for a beautiful “Blessing of the Mother” with another group of women. ⁣
⁣
I spoke Penny’s words, played my bowls and, with other tender rituals, love was showered upon the radiant soul soon to bring her babe into this world.⁣
⁣
Each time women gather this way ( as they have always done) love, strength, wisdom, support, compassion and all that is good is shared … a beautiful offering⁣
