For the month of March, I’m raising money for Soldier On in their campaign.

Along with hundreds of other Australians - my team and I will be “ralking” (run/walking) 96kms to replicate the length of the Kokoda Trail.

Whilst my ralk will only replicate the length of Kokoda, it in no way comes close to the difficulties encountered by our Diggers in their successful halting of the Japanese Imperial forces as they tried to take Port Moresby in 1942.

They are hard-earned and must be vigilantly defended. Calling Australia home is a great privilege.

This week our Women in Business lunch was held at Beerwah Florist - Fleur Emporium, hosted by Lauren & Naomi of Crest Creative.

It was an inspiring celebration of courage, perseverance, and growth. From discussing the challenges of starting a business to sharing valuable lessons learned, this amazing group of women in business proved that anything is possible with hard work, determination, and of course courage.

Benita made it a bit of fun with some games about flowers(who knew there were so many different flowers)🌺🌻🌼

Special thank you to Benita at Fleur Emporium for allowing the monthly lunch to be held at her gorgeous shop front in Simpson Street, Steph from The Local Beerwah for organising a delicious spread, and all the wonderful ladies that attended.

With the help of Lauren & Naomi alongside the chamber of commerce, we are able to hold these lunches for women in business monthly. So make sure you grab a ticket for our next event.

We heard harrowing accounts of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Alice Springs town camps.

We cannot pretend that such terrible things aren't happening in these communities.

I will do everything in my power to tackle the scourge of domestic violence, particularly in indigenous communities, to make our communities safer.
