You may have noticed the trend all over social media for kids dressed in neutral tones in perfectly minimalist and clean rooms but did you know it has a name?

It's the 'Sad Beige' trend and although I admit it used to give me pangs of jealousy when yet another image graced my screen, I came to realise - that's just my ideal - not my kids! It's just an opinion but my kids ALWAYS go for the tacky, clashing rainbow coloured toys, clothes etc. no matter how hard I try! And let's be honest about the reality - the mess - eeek!!!

Anyway, thought I would share this article as I think it gives us permission as parents to do whatever works for us and our kids. And it's a bit funny. Most importantly, it supports why I created the brightly coloured themes for the party hire - some make my eyes burn but I see the kids awestruck and that's what its all about!!!
