Private Property, West Launceston

A gorgeous intimate elopement for a lovely couple this morning, with three of their family members in attendance, and their parents watching on from the comfort of their lounge, 10,000km away!

Short, sweet, simple and special as these celebrations always are 🥰

And a milestone for me, celebrating my 350th wedding officiated. Each and every one etched in my memory forever and so important to me. Every event is written up in my journal along with the photo I have taken with each couple who entrusted me to share their wedding day, and I often flick back through to reminisce and reflect on them all. Very grateful to do what I do 💕

Table House Farm, Table Cape

A first for me today at this spectacular location in Table Cape in the state's north west, for a Pop Up Wedding.

The day was sunny and bright, in our prime position overlooking the cliffs and ocean from this incredible vantage point.

Walking in felt like joining a house party, the sense of warmth and fun was infectious and set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.

The couple, and their four treasured guests had such a heartfelt, natural and relaxed ceremony, with special inclusions that made it perfectly 'them', and happy tears all round 🥰

A lovely legals only in this couple's home today. This Tasmanian Wedding Directory registry style elopement hit all the right notes - simple, short, sweet and official.

The happy couple are planning their grand scale celebrations for a later date, and today was keeping it close and intimate, just the two of them and their two witnesses.... and a delicious glass of celebratory bubbles for us all to wrap it up 🥰

Piermont Retreat, Swansea

Back to one of my favourite spaces for a special celebration today.

It was the epitome of a Tassie micro-wedding in terms of 'going with the flow'. 

When I arrived it was cold, and raining steadily. We made the decision to have the ceremony inside to alleviate the stress and uncertainty of the weather, giving grace to their guests.

Then 15 minutes before our scheduled go time, the skies cleared, the wind dropped, and the sun shone. The amphitheatre was looking so beautiful in the sunshine, so we made the decision to revert to our Plan A and have the ceremony under the wonderful tree there overlooking the beach. 

Literally within minutes of the call being made, wonderful Gabby from Piermont had everything seamlessly set up for us and we were ready to go. (It is one of many reasons why elopements and weddings here are so brilliant - Gabby and the team are always excited and happy and so accommodating for the couples, nothing is too much trouble, and it adds such a calm and friendly vibe to the day).

This interstate group were so much fun, the little ring bearer was such a sweetheart and so proud of his important role, and the couple themselves were so warm and kind, the whole experience from start to finish was such a joy 🥰

King Billy Track, Cradle Mountain 

Wrapping up my trilogy of Pop Up Weddings Cradle elopements today - on a very different kind of day! All the snow had melted, the breeze was picking up and the clouds had rolled in.

Today's couple laughingly told us of all the mishaps and adventures they had been having so far on their Tassie trip. 

And so when it started to rain just as we reached the ceremony space, they took it with such great humour and embraced it as just another hiccup and a wonderful story to tell from their day 🥰

Truly the best motto to adopt for winter weddings in Tasmania!
