Today we are kicking off our Artist Spotlights and first up is SPICYMUSIC co-founder & resident, Gÿps 💖

has been at forefront of the underground music scene in Tasmania since 2013. Being the co-founder of Tasmania’s leading techno movement SPICYMUSIC, she has put on over 60 parties & raves since 2015.

She performs regularly at club nights & festivals throughout Tasmania along with being invited to perform in other Australian cities for techno nights & festivals such as Babylon Festival (Vic) WeLove (Syd), Goodbar (Syd), Synergy Festival (Tas), Multiverse Festival (Tas), Great Escape Festival (Tas) & Revel (Tas) to name just a few and she has an exciting upcoming headline closing set at Dark M**o this June.

Her style has been labeled as psychedelic, energetic hardgroove & tribal. Her sets are best known to have a push and pull between hard & fast, sexy & trippy driven sounds, interwoven with percussive tribal groove, tripped out atmospheric & hypnotic elements, and a touch of 90s rave and hip-hop vocal influences.

This Sunday we can expect lots of groove, textures and energy in Gÿps’ set! 🌶️

We are back after our 50th celebration show for our annual June long weekend Rave! 9am-6am, we will be raving all night and into the early hours with some of the best from the state, and our special interstate headliner MISLAV!

MISLAV is an emerging techno DJ who is making a powerful entrance into the Australian techno scene! His secret recipe includes a mixture of deep yet punchy techno with hardgroove, spiced up with some spacey and psychedelic melodies.
Having left his mark at clubs like Revolver, Brown Alley, and Inflation, MISLAV's ambition to showcase his style is growing thick and fast!

New The Essence of Techno is now live on my Soundcloud [link below]. This month I'm featuring a live recording of a set I played B2B with Spice at RBUS, in Tasmania! This would be one of my favourite sets to date! It has a few wobbly bits here & there, but thats the nature of playing live & it's what keeps it real & raw! The vibe between us & our love of techno was unreal this night, and I feel it shows through-out this whole set.
