Greetings to everyone new in this sensory space! My name is Ksenia, and I am the owner and operator of Sensory Graden Playgroup. One-man band, so to speak!
A little bit more about me: (because who doesn't like concise bulletpoint info?!).
πΈ I was born in Russia. My family moved to Europe when I was 8 years old, where I grew up.
πΈ I have been living in Oz for almost 9 years. I came to study and met my husband - born and bread Aussie.
πΈ I have a masters degree in project management and pride myself in being organised! πͺ
πΈ My husband and I met online and got married in Births, Deaths, and Marriages Registry! Yeap...I was a crazy bride. π€£
πΈ I am a lucky mother to one daughter!
The sensory play business was never on my radar until my daughter was born on day two of 2021 lockdown. I went into labour on day one, about 5 hours after announcement . I have experienced firsthand the struggle of isolation and wanted to create space not only for children but also for parents. That's my biggest goal - come for play, stay for connection.
If you relate and understand my "why," welcome! Parenthood is a crazy ride. Let's make it a party bus, not a bike ride uphill! π₯³

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us; your presence truly made me so happy. Despite the weather throwing us some curveballs and an unexpected bout of illness slowing us down temporarily, the January mini-term turned out to be a fantastic experience!
We were at full capacity for almost every session, and I want to express my deep appreciation for that! Meeting new families, interacting with your adorable babies and toddlersβit was genuinely delightful. Seeing familiar faces adds a special touch, and your continuous support for our little messy community means the world! π
I am so incredibly happy I have committed time and space to run these special January school holiday sessions. Parenting during the school holidays when all of the activities fizzle out is a special kind of tough. I have experienced it myself and that's why Sensory Garden will always have your back! π
Now, after navigating through the family craziness of the Christmas period (which, let's face it, doesn't always feel like a holiday), I'm ready to take a breather. It feels like I haven't stopped since October, and I'm looking forward to some downtime!
Once again, thank you for supporting Sensory Garden. I'll miss you and your little ones and promise to be back by February 6th for our next session.

Dear Messy Friends,Β Sensory Garden first opened its doors in April 2023, and ever since, it has been a nonstop whirlwind of messiness and fun, but also hard work at all hours of the day and night. Thank you for all your love and support in the past year! β€οΈ While running sessions last winter, I thought it might be wise to take a break in the next. The weatherΒ in the mountains is very challenging at times, and I think we can reasonably expect very cold months ahead of us. βοΈ Wind picks up in winter, too, so even if it isn't raining, running sessions outdoors can be difficult.Β Due to this, our last session will be the Wednesday School Holiday session on the 24th of April. If you have purchased a session pass that is still valid and will have sessions left over, please reach out to me so we can get this sorted!Β Before you get worried, allow me to reassure you that I am planning to resume the sessions in the coming spring! πΌ Winter is a good time to slow down, and this is exactly what my mind and body areΒ asking me to do. My creative juices need to hibernate, and extra time and space to think will allow me to bring a bigger and better Sensory Garden back! Help me clean and organise my sensory play cupboard! This is a small cupboard of stuff I keep at home. Like any space around the house, really, it gets messy π€£. And I just can't function and get anxious. So today was the day I decided to declutter and clean.

Running a business with a toddler in tow is sometimes very challenging, not going to lie. But I am also very lucky - she is mostly cooperative, tries to help, and is pretty good at listening to instructions. π I am incredibly lucky to have her. β€οΈ

UPDATE: Birthday Parties and Private Hire In the past few months, I have received a large number of inquiries for private events. To everyone who even considered hiring us for your special celebration, thank you! β€οΈ Your trust and appreciation for Sensory Garden means more than you can imagine. βοΈUnfortunately, due to the number of bookings I have recently accepted, I have to hit pause on any new bookings for the time being. If you already have a date booked and your deposit has been paid, this announcement does not affect you! Your celebration is going ahead as planned, and I very much look forward to it! I wasn't really feeling it in the past few weeks... This week, I realised that my storage space is in disarray because I didn't make time to tidy up since November π€― and it annoys me to no end! π€£ I clean every item used after every session, but sometimes I am so tired at the end of cleaning that I just throw everything clean in and close the roller door without properly returning items into their designated spot. π€£ So this week, I made time to tidy up. It took 2 hours, but I couldn't be happier!
